** The Mistmaw, and everything it does - a {{Kaiju}} and borderline AnimalisticAbomination, under Cavendish's control, it's capable of wiping out entire Spires. Which it does, being a mile-wide monster capable of eating thousands of people alive, by grabbing them with acid soaked tentacles and reeling them into its belly where they're slowly absorbed through the skin. We don't see too much of the details, with Bridget at one point refusing to look, and Saza, who'd compared the fleeing humans to field mice running from an overturned nest, murmurs, subdued, "the poor mice."

Uncanny Valley is IUEO now and the subjective version has been split; cleaning up misuse and ZCE in the process

Not YMMV

* KarmaHoudini: While [[spoiler: Mistshark is certainly battered in her exchange with Predator,]] that's pretty much the extent of the consequences Ransom suffers by the end of the first book for killing numerous civilians purely for the pay.
** Commodore Rook is an even more egregious example, considering his cowardice resulted [[spoiler: in the loss of hundreds of lives and even more damage to Albion's fleet than already suffered.]]

Trope doesn't belong in the YMMV page. Moving to main article.

%%* CompleteMonster: Madame Cavendish.
* HateSink: Reginald. Doesn't even have a character sheet...and disappears from the story promptly. He's just there to give Gwen's party something to DO...Rook is another, but a more important one.

Wrong Trope, the right one would be Unwanted Assistance and is not YMMV
