** The fifth Episode has Sonic noting to the gang that it is coming up on the "anniversary" of [[VideoGame/SonicSuperstars their adventure on Northstar Island]]. Alongside the rather obvious nod to the upcoming game, Amy also mentions that she wonders if she can invite someone, with her last words fading out before the episode's end. This has gotten fans speculating about which characters would appear next on ''[=TailsTube=]'', from characters like Cream the Rabbit or Tangle the Lemur, to even Trip the Sungazer since Sonic mentioned the setting of ''Superstars'', and given [[spoiler:her HeelFaceTurn, it's looking most likely to be the latter.]]

Mostly jossed when the following sixth Episode had Team Dark as guests (Shadow, Rouge, and Omega), though the door is still possibly open to allow the aforementioned characters as guests in future episodes.

Added DiffLines:

** At the start of Episode 6, Shadow came when he heard there was a crisis, only to find out it was a gift exchange and Chaos Control himself out of Tails' place. Shadow then comes back to Tails' house after hearing the commotion that came from Eggman's prior crash. When he sees that Tails actually left him a gift, he is curious enough to open it. When he sees the card says "have an Ultimate Holiday," he brushes off as "ridiculous," before conceding it is a little chilly outside and puts the scarf he got from Tails around his neck. Not only does Shadow soften up for the Holidays, he looks adorable wearing the scarf.

* SugarWiki/HeartwarmingMoments: In the third episode, while Knuckles is a little uncertain about how to use the new communication technology that Tails gave him, and does end up breaking it by the end, he's willing to use it and even asks in concern if Tails was in any kind of trouble when he does contact the echidna. Goes to show that, while their interactions are somewhat limited, the two are indeed as close as Tails can be with Sonic.

** Episode 5 has Sonic, Tails, Knuckles, and Amy reminisce about Mighty, Ray, and Fang, along with offhandedly mentioning Bean and Bark as members Fang's gang, which seems to suggest SEGA is starting to loosen up on their [[ExiledFromContinuity embargo]] on letting the three show up outside of the Classic games.

* CharacterRerailment: Episode 3 received overwhelmingly positive reception for dialing Knuckles' characterization back to his more stoic ''Adventure''-era self rather than continuing on with the hot-headed persona he was [[{{Flanderization}} flanderized]] into afterwards, being serious and straightforward yet still able to make informed decisions or take a joke every once in a while. VocalEvolution also resulted in many fans becoming more accepting of [[Creator/DaveBMitchell Dave B. Mitchell's]] performance, even over Knuckles' [[Creator/DanGreen previous]] [[Creator/TravisWillingham VAs]], due to coming off as more natural as opposed to the impression of Willingham's performance from ''VideoGame/TeamSonicRacing'' and ending up sounding similar to Ryan Drummond and Scott Dreier's takes on the character from the ''Adventure'' era: stern, yet somewhat laid-back.

** The ''VideoGame/SonicForces'' retcon suggesting that Classic Sonic was from another dimension was similarly disliked by fans, being seen as suddenly making the timeline a lot more confusing and coming off as an excuse to bring Classic Sonic back whenever SEGA feels like it [[note]]That said, as [[https://twitter.com/soniclorepost/status/1276673044543688704?s=61&t=m7fiT1CG-Id-jG9aSe-vEw some]] have pointed out, Classic Sonic being from another dimension was likely a [[DubInducedPlothole mistranslation]] stemming from translators misinterpreting the Japanese word "Sekai" (the Japanese word for World), which can have a variety of meanings and has been used by the franchise in the past to refer to things like different worlds and time periods[[/note]]. Fortunately, Episode 4 re-retconned things back to ''VideoGame/SonicGenerations''' explanation as Modern being present Sonic and Classic being past Sonic. While what, if any, ramifications this presents to the franchise long term are yet to be seen, fans are at least happy to have a more coherent timeline again.
