* DesignatedHero: Morrigan is still an unlikable monster that kills humans, but the story still paints her in a positive light when she steps on to defend her kingdom, with her being crowned as queen of Makai being supposed to be seen as a happy ending.

* HarsherInHindsight: Morrigan's portrayal here it's rather hard to look when you remember her portrayal in Marvel vs Capcom infinite which also released on 2017. Unlike the comics, she is portrayed closer to her canon self, being a seductive and thrill-seeker succubus who nonetheless is a friendly and moral person, and even helps the heroes once she finds out Jedah has killed millions of humans and fed their souls to a deranged simbiote.

* UnintentionallyUnsympathetic: Morrigan is supposed to root for when she fights Jedah because she is trying to save her kingdom, but it's painfully hard to support her when she's been doing nothing but to go around the human world killing humans and causing destruction. The first thing she does in the comic is tricking and killing two archeologists that were happy about finding a lost pyramid on Brazil yet the moment she finds out about Jedah's plan she immeadiatly goes to Donovan, Anita and later Chun Li (whom she tried to kill earlier) seeking for help when she's been worse than Jedah. She defeating him, fusing with Lilith and getting crowned queen of Makai is supposed to be seen as something good but all it means is that she will not face punishment for her actions and is completely free to keep tormenting humans, now even more powerful than ever. Bad if you remember neither her (or Lilith) [[AdaptationalVillainy were like that in the games]].

They've looking forward the lost pyramid of the jungle (which legends say contains Necalli) and just found it out after who knows how much work. Then they realize a female archeologist is there and apparently broke her ankle, so they offer her help. But as they approach the woman starts trying to seduce the guy who helps her to get up and eventually reveals she is Morrigan Aensland, who drains the poor man as soon as she got him. His friend, shocked, realizes she's a darkstalker and attemps to save his partner just for Morrigan to kill him for trying to interfere. And to add salt to the wound, as the succubus finishes draining her victim she mocks the other man's attemps to save his friend, claiming that she would've gave him "eternal bliss" if he just waited his turn. Worst of all, the two previously discussed about showing their discovery to a university, meaning that they killed moments before exposing what they found.

The fact that the writers of Udon still have her tricking and killing innocent people all while getting away with it doesn't help. She only starts trying to stop Jedah once she finds out her kingdom is in danger, but otherwise is an evil monster with no moral lines she won't cross for taking human souls. If the villains' plan didn't involve Makai, she wouldn't help the heroes at all, and is overall unfeeling toward anyone who's not from Makai. The fact that this version is just as terrible adapted and written as she was in the Darkstalkers comics, really shows that Udon didn't learn how she truly is even after all these years. Really, why are people suppose to like these versions of Morrigan and Lilith?

* MagnificentBastard: Locked away in the void between worlds following a failed coup to conquer the Makai, [[DemonLordsAndArchdevils Jedah Domah]] found enlightenment and sought to bring peace to the universe in his own twisted way. Swaying Lilith to his side under the promise she would be able to fuse with Morrigan again, Jedah has the Street Fighters and the Darkstalkers transported to his own personal realm, the Majigen, and uses the chaotic fighting between them to generate negative energy for his schemes. Tricking Gill into channeling the energy for him, Jedah creates his "fetus of God", a monstrous, demonic child with the purpose of devouring the souls of all who live, united into a single consciousness, [[TheEvilsOfFreeWill free from their own individuality]]. Even when cornered, Jedah keeps a cool head and manages to improvise a trick to goad two groups of fighters into battling one another while his baby grows in strength.

** For Morrigan it can be justified considering that this is before she started taking her responsibilities seriously. But for Lilith, her HeelFaceTurn comes off as abrupt and she never faces the consequences of willingly abetting Jedah's crimes.
