* BrokenBase: Some fans don't like the idea of the next KOTOR game being an MMORPG at all.
** Occasionally borders on FanDumb considering the near-irrational refusal by some fans to accept the Devs' insistence that the game will be perfectly playable from a single player perspective, and that the game will contain a well-crafted storyline typical of Bioware [=RPGs=].
** Well, some at least have the opinion that an MMO shouldn't have significant story in their single player gameplay.
** And some have problems with MMORPG's from a gameplay perspective.
** They might also have issue with the whole "monthly fee" thing.
** And there's the fact that people have been waiting for a few years know for an end to the Kotor story. While The Old Republic will be answering many questions, a three hundred year time jump makes it hard to feel like this is a proper sequel.

** Blizz, [[PintSizedPowerhouse rocket-launching Jawa]], has been this for developer Daniel Erickson, an appreciation that is spreading.

* SceneryPorn: You can watch it through a shaky, handheld camera of some guy playing through at PAX and Tython ''still'' looks jaw-droppingly gorgeous.

Many fans are angry at the character assassination of the Jedi Exile (destruction of the character's backstory and achievements, essentially turning her into a completely ordinary Jedi) and a lot, if not all, the major developments in KOTOR II were retconned out. An example is Nihilus's hunger and devouring of the force is gone. Instead we have the Emperor who has the exact same ability and no one else has ever had the same ability. The Exile is no longer a Wound in the Force (as in, never was. The events of Malachor V separated her from the Force, then she simply decided to reconnect herself at a later point in time with no explanation). These 2 retcons raises the question of what exactly happened in 2 (like Darth Traya's goals or if she even exists anymore). How much a fan cares about these retcons is based on their opinion of KOTOR II or its status as a novel.

* CrowningMomentOfAwesome: Each of the cinematic trailers showcases a CMOA for one of the factions.
** Some of Gnost Daral's videos tell you of others during the war. For instance: A Jedi commander and his badly outnumbered army (numbering about 4,000 including several dozen Jedi) caused a Sith army numbering about 50,000 a ''PyrrhicVictory'' to take the world, fighting to the last man. There's also another about a female smuggler that led a fleet of other smuggler ships against a ''Mandalorian battle fleet. And won'' with help from Republic reinforcements.
** The "Hope" Trailer. When Satele Shan ignited her light saber... then ignited the ''[[SoCoolItsAwesome second]]'' blade of her light saber.
** The "Return" trailer have one for each main character.
*** The smuggler's [[UnflinchingWalk Unflinching Walk]] while gunning down several Sith soldiers.
*** The ''Sithpuncher'' trooper. He keeps his nickname for shooting Darth Malgus's master with a rocket launcher.
*** The entire Jedi/Sith fight. Especially the part where Darth Malgus is about to cut Satele down. Satele's master throws his own lightsaber to deflect Malgus' and save her, gambling that Malgus' master, who was between them, would duck instead of block it.
**** And, within that fight, the infamous [[BeyondTheImpossible triple]]-[[SoCoolItsAwesome wield]].

* EvilIsCool: When the Sith Assassins lurking inside the crashed starship ignited their blades, it was one of the coolest moments of the entire trailer. Thats not even mentioning how [[BadAss badass]] Malgus is in both trailers.

* EnsembleDarkhorse: Nico Okarr, despite having less screen time in Return than anyone else except the trooper, was definitely the star of the show.
