** "This Little Red Riding Hood's got a basket full of kickass." That is some bad writing right there.

* DudeNotFunny: Man people found the [[spoiler: ending involving 9/11 to be borderline offensive.]]

** There aren't even that many remixes--the game is content to just four total remixes, and one of those is a flashback of an event we've already seen in a previous remix! A stronger focus on these might have explored Nilin's memory hunter status. For that matter, stealing memories is as easy as having Nilin get close enough to suck a little static out of their heads; we never get any flashbacks or whatever to [i]see[/i] the memories for ourselves. (The "Remembranes" where we see a ghost of the person re-enacting walking down a hallway just isn't the same…)

* EsotericHappyEnding: [[spoiler: Nilin looks on, prepared to help her rich, affluent, influential, emotionally stable and happy parents guide a world thrown into chaos by the sudden return of the painful memories they once sought to erase. Except her mother is about to get her memory of hating Nilin back, which started this whole mess in the first place.]]

* IdiotPlot: One the one hand, Nilin didn't really have a choice but to listen to Edge at the beginning of the game. On the other hand, he ''did'' blow up a dam and then justify it through the logic of PayEvilUntoEvil, something she didn't buy. So, this raises the question of why she didn't leave just then.
** Because the desire to get her memories back continued to drive her to the only thing she knew how to do and go with the only person who would help her without immediately throwing her in jail to strip what little memories she had. It was an act of self-preservation.
* KarmaHoudini: To varying degrees, [[spoiler: Nilin, Edge and the Cartier-Wells]], depending on what exactly happens after the events of the game.

** [[spoiler: Edge in its role as MissionControl is equally at fault for Nilin's actions as well as his own like flooding Neo-Paris, yet its long-term plot goes through without a hitch.]]
** [[spoiler: The Cartier-Wells have parts of their memories scrambled into more or less traumatic events, but come through the game intact - though it seems probable that Memorize will go under.]]

** Likewise remixing memories is very questionable and poses all sorts of moral dilemmas (since it basically violates the target's free will) yet short of a little angsting from Nilin the ethical implications and dreadful consequences for the victims aren't explored. Remixes are just used to advance the plot and have only positive effects for Nilin, and we don't see the traumatic effects of forced personality changes on the victims.

* KarmaHoudini: To varying degrees, [[Nilin, Edge and the Cartier-Wells]], depending on what exactly happens after the events of the game.

* KarmaHoudini: [[spoiler: Nilin.]] When all's said and done, she completely avoids the consequences of her wrongdoings, in part because the story doesn't acknowledge them as being wrong in the first place, and is pretty thoroughly rewarded for it, both in terms of power and her vastly-improved personal life.

* TearJerker: You have to make [[spoiler:Nilin's father]]believe that he [[spoiler: killed his own daughter during an attempt to wipe away the trauma of a car accident. You can just see the despair Charles is feeling as his daughter lays dead on the street of the memory he tried to change as well as in his own memory of experimenting on his daughter.]]

* TheWoobie: Dear God Caroline. Her oldest brother committed suicide, her parents are divorced, her father is barely around, she's bullied at school and doesn't\ appear to have any friends. Then let's not get started on the ending.

*** We don't see the traumatic consequences? The second remix target killed himself because he came to believe he shot his wife.
*** That's the only example though, and it's not really dwelt on. You don't see people having to live with the fact that their memories have been altered, questioning whether anything in their past life is real or if those and their current opinions were pushed on them.
