* SugarWiki/SuperlativeDubbing: The first two films' Manga Entertainment dubs are excellent, but especially the dub for the second film, and Peter Marinker's turn as Goto is the best of any English voice actor. Bandai Visual's 2006 redubs were technically quite good, if never quite spectacular, and certainly not nearly as memorable as the original mid-90s efforts.

* SoBadItsGood: The voice acting in the English dub of the TV series (including Creator/DanGreen). Most of the actors, frankly, sound like a bunch of untrained yahoos the studio pulled in off the streets, though they do try. There's actually a bit of FridgeBrilliance with the voicework, though, as the shoddy quality actually fits with the bored, underfunded, under-disciplined nature of Section 2. Apparently this was due to the voice director often being absent from the recording sessions, leaving the engineer to handle those duties instead. Also, the voice actors were given the straight translation instead of an adapted script, meaning they often had to re-phrase the dialogue on the fly in order for it to fit. The result was so poorly received, the dubbing studio never recorded another anime.
