* DiagnosedByTheAudience: It's unknown what kind of a mental illness Angela suffered from throughout the series which explains her behaviour as a result of everything that happened to her since she was a child. But most of the fans had theorised that she may have suffered from Cluster B Personality Disorder (combination of Antisocial, Borderline, Histrionic and Narcissistic disorders). Some of the traits that proved the case were her impulsiveness, lack of remorse for betraying and abandoning her friends and family, feelings of emptiness, BlackAndWhiteInsanity, Arrogance, Envy, need for attention and being PowerHungry.

Someone already deleted Vera'd part before because a character cannot be a Jerkass Woobie and a Complete Monster, especially a rapist and a psychopath. And we don't know if his story was real. Even if it was, it still doesn't justify his sexual and psychological abuse towards others.

** Vera. His deeds are monstrous, but at one point he was a helpless kid who [[spoiler: was powerless to defend himself against multiple instances of sexual abuse.]] Part of his creepy obsession with Elliot is because he sees someone who's been through the same pain he has and wants someone to share it with. It's even hinted that this is one of the reasons he's become the cruel murderer he is; particularly in his [[spoiler: final monologue]], it's heavily hinted that his experiences made him determined never to be a victim again, even if it meant going out of his way to victimize others.

Angela is not a designated hero, she's a full blown villain. Just because her story is treated with more sympathy than she deserves doesn't make her a hero.

* DesignatedHero: Angela considering she exploited Elliot's mental disorder and psychologically and mentally abused him (which drew parallel's to domestic abuse) to further Whiterose's agenda despite the fact that she knew that Elliot loved her and cared about her. Worse was that she was his best friend since they were kids and that she knew his family history as well as that he was mentally ill and that she was hurting him but did nothing to stop herself anyway. And even after her father Price begs her to stop getting revenge on Whiterose after everything she did for her was all for naught, she refuses to listen despite the fact that she knows that Price is affiliated with Whiterose which leads to her death.
