** By the producers' own admission, the first episode that featured Jeremy Jahns (episode 17) is by far the craziest episode they have. It features an unprecedented team-up between Jeremy and Kristian, leading to the Screen Junkies tag team raising a peanut gallery throughout the rounds as they try to argue from the couch, and constantly dispute with the host's ruling.

** Towards the show, Dan has always been a bit bitter about the "Fun or Failure" question for the Jurassic World fight due to how one-sided it was. It's a lot easier to point out why a movie is fun despite being a bad movie over trying to explain why the movie was a complete failure.

* TheWoobie: Poor Spencer Gilbert just can't seem to get it done. He's proven himself to be a decent fighter that gets him through the early Movie Fight rounds, but has always been shown to struggle to come out on top in the Speed Round. Then he blew up his chances in the Last Fighter Standing episode, where he got a little too political in his answer choice for the question "If you could punch one actor in the face, who would it be?" and was immediately disqualified before he had the chance to argue properly. He's gotten better in recent years, even winning the Showstopper in the "Dumbest Movie Premise of All Time" Last Fighter Standing in November 2016 [[spoiler:culminating in him cashing it in seven months later at the end of the lengthy "E.T. vs Jaws" Championship, overcoming an exhausted Dan to become only the second ever Movie Fights Champion.]]

* SomeAnvilsNeedToBeDropped: The episode "Movie Fights Extravaganza Benefiting Women in Film" message of how the film industry still discriminates against women and the extremely unsubtle way everyone deliver the message not only did not effect how entertaining the episode is, but also created incredibly touching moments such as when the female participants talked about how the women in cinema and in their life inspired and helped them on their own film career or when they explain the purpose of Women in Film organization.

** Episode 17, particularly the part devoted to Film/TheHobbit debate, received criticism from fans, with some accusing Screen Junkies (who make no secret their absolute scorn for those movies) of not even letting the other team talk, and of blatantly belittling them for their opinions (with Hal laughing in Jeremy's face for suggesting that the movies are good).

** As described in the ItsShortSoItSucks example below, many felt that the Star Wars vs. Star Trek topic was wasted due to the short length of the episode it was done in. As a result, Episode 125 brings the topic back, and has 20 minutes dedicated to the question in a match between Scott Mantz and Jon Rocha.

As a result, many people contested the game's conclusion, complaining that the contestants were barely given the time to defend their picks, especially Hal's.

* BaseBreakingCharacter:
** Nick Mundy. Andy frequently calls him the "People's Champion" and during the LIVE Comic Con episode, his introduction garnered the most excitement from the fans. However, he does have his haters, who see him as an overly loud Jerkass who interrupts everyone and takes his liking of 80's action movies and The Rock to ridiculous extremes. This is has become exacerbated in more recent episodes as he tends to get angry when his odd ideas get rejected. It didn't help he suggested Christopher Nolan should stop making movies, or that in recent times the Screen Junkies team has been making him a CreatorsPet of sort.
** A lot of people hated Hal Rudnick for being the overly opinionated guy from Screen Junkies who constantly interrupts the other panel to make poor arguments. He's since toned down the attitude, and has a growing fanbase, being even more popular (sort of) than Spencer Gilbert.
** Creator/MaxLandis: Rude, arrogant, and loud SoreLoser who's overly sensitive to criticism and prone to UnsportsmanlikeGloating, or CrazyAwesome BunnyEarsLawyer with some truly excellent ideas and arguments?
** Pat Healy who guest appeared on Episode 30 was either adorable, or a complete annoyance. He spent more time struggling to get out what he wanted to say with a vast plethora of "you know?" sentence-enders than actually attempting to communicate with the other combatants. There's nothing wrong about him personality-wise that many found him to be a humble guy, but he had such a rough time speaking that the show became almost unwatchable for some folk whenever the spotlight was on him.
** Sasha Perl-Raver in episode 85 for consistently bringing in profit whenever there is an argument against the other contestants. Some think that her arguments don't have anything to do with some of the questions while others think she's just bringing in the business side of the industry. It also doesn't help that she brings in her own contact to back up her arguments. Some fans think it's unfair for the other contestants while others have no problem with it. She then takes this UpToEleven in the "Best Movie Of the 80s" episode, with Sasha flat out accusing Marc of being racist for no real reason, something which legitimately seemed to hurt him.
** Matt Stagmer guest starring episode 87. He is either the OnlySaneMan who present logical arguments in a calm matter within a panel of two loud, obnoxious fighters (although a majority of fans blame Erik Davis for constantly evoking and rudely interrupting Roth Cornet thus forced Roth to abandon her usual calm demeanor) or a weak fighters who dishes out flimsy arguments and failed to bring any energy to the debate. A third camp starts out at the former but switch to the latter when Roth Cornet .

* TheScrappy:
** Zigzagged, then played extremely straight with Andy Signore. Most people were fine having him as the host of the show, but they hated him as a gladiator for being rude, aggressive, and dismissive (even mocking) towards his opponent's answers and the judge's ruling. Then the wave of allegations of sexual misconduct not only removed him permanently from the show and the company, but also ensured that none but the most fringe of fans would ever find his behavior defensible.
** Alison Haislip was given a lot of flak by the viewers for her unbearable demeanor during her second appearance in Episode 41. She was very aggressive, cocky and behaved like a SoreLoser whenever she lost a round. Her next appearance in Episode 64 seems to have elevated her hatedom after she legitimately acted like she was going to quit after failing to win the first round with Film/ExMachina as the best movie of 2015.
** Grae Drake. Most people immediately disliked her for saying the Lucasfilm logo for Film/TheForceAwakens was the best part of the trailer. Her attitude, combined with her comment of choosing the best Bill Murray performance being like Squick "Choosing your favorite sex position", made her very disliked by many fans. Her joke about how not picking Selma for most hopeful movie in the last category for the Speed Round makes you racist didn't help ether.
** Episode 60 had Umberto Gonzalez guest star... and for a lot of folks, it was brutal to watch. He struggled to debate with the other two competitors to the point of hardly making any argument whatsoever that just came off like he was a wasted spot (in fact, the one point he won overall was during a team up with Kim). In addition, his choice as to why Film/XMenTheLastStand is one of the most "overrated" movies ever further boggled people's minds as the movie was panned by fans and critics alike. In the end, most viewers agree that he wasn't properly prepared for the episode.
** Episode 84 has a lot of dislikes, and most of them are centered around Kim Horcher, whose arguments sounds like SJW propaganda to many people. The fact that she's stares at the camera during her overly politically correct pitch of Pocahontas (to the point of guilt-tripping Andy to give her a point), like she's actually addressing the viewers, rather than her competitors, only made her more unbearable to the fans. Since that episode, Horcher hasn't reappeared on the show since.
** Ian Hecox and Jack Henry Robbins are this for the episode they appeared in for their low energy and lack of prepare for the fight.
** Tony Hinchcliffe, for being an arrogant jerkass who, in addition to acting obnoxiously toward everyone else, said that Film/CitizenKane was the worst film that critics liked despite openly admitting that he had never actually seen it. Many also thought Brian Redban came across as an incompetent jerkass as well, although to a much lesser extent, and it is generally agreed that the episode in which they appear is one of the worst Movie Fights ever due to a general atmosphere of mean-spiritedness and incompetence (though most people are more or less indifferent to Jeremiah Watkins). Thanks mostly to Hinchcliffe, this episode has substantially more dislikes than likes.
** A lot of viewers consider Klee Wiggins their least favorite fighter in the show's roster for her condescending and antagonistic attitude. She earned a lot of hate for claiming Heath Ledger got a Oscar simply because he died (something that Dan fact checked and disproved alongside shooting down her argument that the Oscar's did that often), while focusing on race as her main motivation for her picks instead of trying to give different arguments. Many people in the live chat noted she had a point but that she was being too quick to throw shade at someone who died. In fact, many of the comments in the episodes she appeared in requested that she never be brought back again.

** Greg Alba is a fairly new addition to the Movie Fights roster, and had only made three appearances as of this writing, but he's already considered a worthy opponent to the long-time champion, Dan Murrell. The fact that he is the first, and currently only, person on the show who's ever made a clean sweep (he won 4-0-0 in his debut, and almost did it again in his third appearance by winning all the regular round's questions, even though he lost a speed round question) gives him something of a MemeticBadass status.

* HypeBacklash: For several weeks, Andy began teasing this "top secret project" that Screen Junkies his involved in. He kept on mentioning how it's the biggest news they've had on the show EVER. ** Tony Hinchcliffe, for being an arrogant jerkass who, in addition to acting obnoxiously to everyone else, said that Film/CitizenKane was the worst film that critics liked despite openly admitting that he had never actually seen it. Many also thought Brian Redban came across as an incompetent jerkass as well, although to a much lesser extent, and it is generally agreed that the episode in which they appear is one of the worst Movie Fights ever due to a general atmosphere of meanness and incompetence (though most people are more or less indifferent to Jeremiah Watkins). Thanks mostly Hinchecliffe, this episode has substantially more dislikes than likes.
