* RomanticPlotTumor: The hinted-at romance between Kip and Wallace, who have barely even talked to each other, know only the barest of details, and whos relationship might actually turn out to be a tremendous conflict of interest...gets a surprising amount of screen time. The artist spends a lot of time shipping them, when they've barely even met.

Ho Yay is supposed to be unintentionally. At it's most platonic, this is Homoerotic Subtext, but I'd go so far as to say Ben and Wallace have blatant Ship Tease.

** Ben and Wallace. Earlier Wallace has shown to have a slight hint of a crush on Ben the way he blushes, and Ben has shown care for Wallace by bringing him breakfast and coffee. And thus it is revealed that Ben sees a lot of his deceased wife in Wallace and shows an attraction towards him. They almost kiss.

insufficient context. ship sinking must refer to a specific scene intended to disprove a pairing per TRS https://tvtropes.org/pmwiki/posts.php?discussion=1640420480098263500

* ShipSinking: Pascal's appearance was a missile throw at all ships with Kip, as he took the place of Kip's canonical LoveInterests. Wallace/Kip also takes a hit due to the fact that the two are meant to be friends, not romantically involved.
** The ShipTease between Ben and Wallace as of recent might also apply to Wallace/Kip further.

** Subverted later on. Wallace and Kip start hanging out so Kip can help Wallace to do his job, their relationship gets increasingly friendly. Pascal also shows up, who seem to be Kip's OldFlame and RomanticInterest.

It also appears that the comic is also leaning towards Ben and Wallace.

** Later on, Pascal shows up who seems to be an OldFlame of Kip. From then on, it becomes really clear that they will become the comic's OfficialCouple.

* JerkassWoobie: The monsters who treat Wallace rudely as he tries to do his job as a social worker. As Louise explains, they don't hate ''him'' personally, just what he--as a human from the richest district--represents (i.e., discrimination), so of course they don't want him around telling them how to live their lives.
