* PlayingAgainstType: It's hard to believe that Boss is voiced by Creator/FumihikoTachiki here. Yes, the same guy who voices [[Anime/NeonGenesisEvangelion Gendo Ikari]].

* SuperlativeDubbing: While there are a few pronunciation-emphasis problems in the dub, (Sa-YA-ka, Ka-BU-to, Ma-ZIN-ger, etc), the acting overall is excellent; in particular, Robert Newell and John Paul Shepard are nearly ''perfect'' in their respective roles of Koji and Dr. Hell.

* SugarWiki/AwesomeMusic: Considering its opening and ending themes are perfored by JAMProject, enough said.

* DawsonCasting: Hiroya Ishimaru was 60 years old when he voiced 17 year old Koji Kabuto in Mazinkaiser.

* DawsonCasting: 60 year old Hiroya Ishimaru as 17 year old Kouji Kabuto.

* SuperlativeDubbing: while there are a few pronunciation-emphasis problems in the dub, (Sa-YA-ka, Ka-BU-to, Ma-ZIN-ger, etc), the acting overall is excellent; in particular, Robert Newell and John Paul Shepard are nearly ''perfect'' in their respective roles of Koji and Dr. Hell.

* RuleOfFunny: ''Mazinkaiser'' applied principles of this (such as having mecha lip-synching with its pilots) to HumongousMecha [[OlderThanYouThink years before]] ''TengenToppaGurrenLagann'' did roughly the same.

* GodModeSue: The titular machine, because nothing can destroy it, not even [[spoiler:drowning it in molten lava]]. One of the few HumongousMecha to never gets its paintjob scratched, too.
** Although its SuperMode takes a while to control and Kouji Kabuto ''does'' have lots of trouble with it at first, [[spoiler:nearly destroying the Photonic Research Institute and the Great Mazinger ''and'' seriously injuring Tetsuya Tsurugi during its rampage]].
*** Still goddamn awesome. Besides, Mazinkaiser may never get its paintjob scratched, but Kouji can still take damage when riding it. Also considering it's a GoNagai creation: [[CrowningMomentOfAwesome obviously it's too awesome for anyone to complain about]].

* SugarWiki/AwesomeMusic (It's by JAMProject. Enough said.)
** Even still, [[http://www.youtube.com/watch?v=nUBMi8igtf0 Fire Wars]] simply ''must'' be mentioned for being quite possibly the most HotBlooded song that JAMProject has ever made.
** Let's not forget the awesome ''Majin Kenzan!!'' insert song in the movie, accompanying Mazinkaiser's triumphant return to Earth, and the ensuing ''curbstomping'' it inflicts thereafter. (See the above DynamicEntry; it's that very scene.)
** Also, "[[http://www.youtube.com/watch?v=3btyr03_-pI Theme of Mazinkaiser]]" by JAM Project founder (and singer of the original ''Mazinger Z'' theme) Ichiro Mizuki.
* GodModeSue (Arguably, the Mazinkaiser, because nothing can destroy it, not even [[spoiler:drowning it in molten lava]]. Probably one of the few robots to never gets its paintjob scratched too.)
** Not 100% sure, since its SuperMode takes a while to control and Kouji ''does'' have lotsa trouble with it at first, [[spoiler: almost destroying both the Institute and Great Mazinger ''and'' seriously injuring Tetsuya during its rampage.]])

** Let's not forget Mazinkaiser's DynamicEntry in the movie, where Kouji docks with it while ''it's plummeting to the ground from orbit'', creates a huge crater when it crashes, killing several mechanical beasts in the proccess, then comes out ''completely unharmed'' while proceeding to destroy several more high-level mechanical beasts, ''all in less than 5 minutes''! It just gets better from there.

*** Aside from the "Rust Hurricane - Hurricane Power" change, the only real difference is that Breast Fire and Breast Burn are both simply called Fire Blaster, as that is Mazinkaiser's move and it is essentially the same technique.

* SugarWiki/FunnyMoments (The stunning moment of TheGuardsMustBeCrazy in episode 4, and the '''entire first half of episode 5.''' Including the FanDisservice mentioned on the main page)

* SugarWiki/MomentOfAwesome (Well, it is a robot show. Remember the episode, "Koji Kabuto Dies In Magma"? He doesn't in the best way possible: By exploding out of the side of the active volcano he was just dropped in.)
** Additionally, the episode itself counts as a subversion of ExactlyWhatItSaysOnTheTin.
** Also in that episode, [[ButtMonkey Boss]] kicks some serious ass in Boss Borot; helping the scientists escape, and allowing Kouji to get to Mazinkaiser.
