* DracoInLeatherPants: Sallie Mae's first scene strongly implies that she's a SerialKiller and she spends the rest of it belittling Moxxie, but a combination of [[LGBTFanbase decent LGBT representation]] and [[EvilIsSexy her attractiveness]] turned her into an EnsembleDarkhorse practically overnight.

** Moxxie getting savaged on by a shark every time he falls into a puddle during the Pain Games? Funny. Moxxie being dog-piled by several manlier men at the end of his TraumaCongaLine? Depressing. ''The shark'' popping up out of nowhere to give an elbow drop while Moxxie is down? ''Side-splitting!''

** When Striker was making his offer to Blitzo, was the former seriously interested in him, or was he just manipulating him into letting his guard down? Was he manipulating Striker, but genuinely turned on?

* BrokenBase: While a majority of viewers have given great praise to the episode, there is a small crowd who is rather critical of it, noting the occasional janky animation, Striker coming across as a one-note psycho and bully compared to the more layered villains like Fizzaroli and Verosika, and perhaps the biggest complaint: despite taking place on her home ranch and introducing her family, the episode ''still'' opting to sideline Millie in favor of the typical male leads.

* AngstAversion: Admittedly, most of Moxxie’s scenes in the episode can be hard to sit through for some due to the uncomfortably realistic and harsh abuse he suffers from Millie’s family and Striker. While Moxxie had plenty of butt-monkey moments in the past, they were arguably more enjoyable because there was enough well-timed comedy and heartwarming moments that keep them from being needlessly brutal.

* FanficFuel: How would Stella react if she found out that the same Imp who slept with her husband is also the one who foiled her plan to kill said husband? Would she resort to recruiting his past enemies (Robofizz, Verosika, the fallen C.H.E.R.U.B, etc.) to keep Blitz busy?

* TheyWastedAPerfectlyGoodCharacter: Despite being an EnsembleDarkhorse, Sallie Mae barely said or did anything. She didn't even partake in the games.
* TheyWastedAPerfectlyGoodPlot: While the episode was well-received, some fans were disappointed that it didn't center on Millie since it took place on her home ranch and even introduced her family, but instead centered around Moxxie and continued Millie's tendency to be a SatelliteCharacter. To further demonstrate this issue, supporting and ''intentionally'' minor characters have much more of a memorable presence, like Stolas, Octavia, and even Wally Wackford.

** Millie being not allowed to take part in the Pain Games was because there were ''fifteen'' separate funerals the last time she entered? Savage. Her defense was that she ''[[ComicallyMissingThePoint only caused nine]]''? Hilarious. Sallie May dragging a corpse inthe background, saying it doesn't count if they don't find the bodies? BlackComedy gold.
