* TheAce: Dr. Clint Webber. [[spoiler:[[DreadfulMusician Can't sing though.]]]]

* BothSidesHaveAPoint: From the episode ''Dinner At Eight''; one the one hand, Martin is right that Frasier and Niles need to relax and enjoy "normal" things sometimes; but seeing as how their hostess just cut off their (presumably expensive) ties, they have a right to be angry. Or at least very, very annoyed.

* EarlyInstallmentWeirdness: At one point in the first season, Martin says that Lilith is much weirder than Maris. Eleven seasons later, Lilith is a fairly sympathetic recurring character, while Maris was so strange no human actress could portray her and she was once mistaken ''for a hatrack.''

* HamToHamCombat: Frasier. Niles. SiblingRivalry. Impromptu ham-offs every couple of episodes.

*** The first scene of Donny after Daphne and Niles get together, Frasier finds him sitting in the dark in his office, despondant and talking to the groom from his wedding cake, who he's named "Mr. Chump". He furthermore tells Frasier he doesn't hate Daphne for what happened, but he weakly jokes that as a lawyer, suing people is just his knee-jerk reaction to handling problems. While Frasier's confession of his hand in the events gets his riled up, the scene makes it clear that he was thrown into a HeroicBSOD by what happened and just doesn't know how to handle it.

*** This was something that, on re-watching the show on Netflix, really dated the show for me. I don't think a current show would have such open mockery of her for her romantic life, which also comes across as very sexist in some of the episodes. To the show's credit, though, her behavior is really only a joke between the characters, there's no kind of in-universe 'punishment' for her sex life and the only time her behavior complicates the plot is when Frasier himself gets involved somehow. She's not ashamed of her enjoyment of sex or dating many people, she doesn't hide it and she doesn't change her behavior based on the things other people say to her, rather using their insults as an opportunity to get in some good insults of her own. So it comes across as affectionate teasing most of the time. But now and then the lines are so cutting that it seems shockingly judgmental, and feels out of place compared to TV shows that are on the air right now, which probably wouldn't get away with it - at least not without a lot of people being offended and pointing it out.

** Not just in school. From what Frasier and Niles have described, they were picked on [[ParanoiaFuel as soon as they stepped out of their house]]. Combined with the above-mentioned severity and viciousness, it goes beyond the traditional reasoning of "bullies are [[HanlonsRazor motivated by jealousy, bitterness, or just a plain lack of social skills]]." It ends up feeling more like "bullies are [[AlwaysChaoticEvil malevolent forces of nature that will attack you, no matter what]]."

** Through the series, it's clear Frasier has very little knowledge of sports, but after spending all the time at Cheers, with Sam and all those Boston sports nuts (and they ARE nuts about sports in Boston) I find it hard to accept his total ignorance.

* DracoInLeatherPants: An in-universe example. Martin and the boys talk about Hester as if she were a saint, but from what we know about her: She cheated on Martin at least once, she egged on the rivalry between Frasier and Niles that continues to affect them in adulthood and that's not even counting her manipulitive, shrewish behaviour on cheers. On the other hand, they wouldn't exactly be the first grieving sons / husbands to ever decide to NeverSpeakIllOfTheDead when it comes to a deceased and clearly much-loved-and-loving-despite-her-flaws mother/wife, so this is perhaps understandable.

* StrawmanHasAPoint: In "Room Full of Heroes", Niles begins to say, in-character as Martin, that he and Frasier were disappointments to him. Martin sharply cuts him off and says he's portraying him as a drunken jackass. While Niles was certainly over the line, considering how Martin treats the two of them and routinely expresses exasperation about their behavior, it's hard not to see why Niles would think this way.
