Della might've done something as reckless as Louie did in the past, but because she's seen what damage stealing the Spear of Selene caused, she knows Louie has to understand ''now'' that what he did was wrong.

* AuthorsSavingThrow:
** Like in "Raiders of the Doomsday Vault!", it shows that Della's blind and reckless decisions in the past have not been fully swept under the rug by every member of the family via Louie's passive-aggressive remark towards her. The fact that everybody else [[JerkassHasAPoint uncomfortably and silently agreed with Louie]] (Including Della, who silently stops Beakley from opposing him) also showed that the ones who gladly accepted Della back, and even Della herself, still hasn't forgotten what she had done.
** After spending several episodes chastised as a {{Pushover Parent|s}}, Della finally decides to take her responsibility as a mom seriously and grounds Louie for almost destroying time.
** In "[[Recap/DuckTales2017S2E6LastChristmas Last Christmas!]]", it is revealed that not only does Scrooge have access to time-travel in the form of the Ghost of Christmas Past, but he could travel to anywhen ''every year.'' One would wonder why he never thought to use such resources to save Della when she was lost in space, especially when he was shown to be able to snitch the Ghost's time-traveling umbrella and use it himself. Here we are given context: altering the past in any significant way (and altering the life of Scrooge [=McDuck=], international adventurer and the Richest Duck in the World would have made a ''huge'' impact) causes a TimeCrash that could potentially upend reality as we know it. Since S.H.U.S.H. has a protocol for potential {{Time Crash}}es, this is likely not the first time Scrooge and Beakley have encountered an anomaly like this and Scrooge would know that saving Della this way wouldn't work.

* CatharsisFactor: Seeing Della finally punish Louie for his greed is quite satisfying to many fans. On the flipside, fans who thought Della had gotten off way too easily for the Spear of Selene incident were quite satisfied to see that someone in the family (Louie) hasn't fully forgiven and forgotten yet.

** [[ParentalHypocrisy Even if you made the same mistakes as your children]], you should still punish them for it, as it teaches them to do better than you did.
** If you seriously screw up, apologizing won't automatically fix the damage you caused, and you have to face the consequences for your actions.

Bubba was only able to interact with these things because he unwittingly time traveled to an era that had these things.

Not only that, but any research he would have had before meeting Bubba would only have been guesswork at best, since all of his research would have been collected ''long'' after caveducks have died out.

* UnintentionallySympathetic: Of all the things Louie has done, being grounded for causing a timephoon seems a bit impertinent given there is very little to indicate Louie knew the consequences of TimeTravelForFunAndProfit. If Louie knew of the danger but chose to do it anyway it would've made the grounding a lot more justified.

You know the part that says "Your Mileage May Vary"? Just because the creators intended for them to share the blame doesn't mean it comes off that way.

** Likewise, the reboot's version of Tootsie is better received than the original, mainly because she is now more like a real dinosaur and has a badass design appropriate for a ''Triceratops''.
