I cut the Demonic Spider entry because Demonic Spiders trope is for very dangerous or annoying regular enemies. Crabs in this game don't appear as regular enemies(except in very few scenario battles), and they are helpless in their own.

* DemonicSpiders:
** In this game, you can weaponize this trope by sending a single cheap drop crate loaded with a hundred free crabs. Unless you're in Campaign Mode and quickly return the drop ship carrying your brain back into space, the resulting "crab bomb" will indiscriminately destroy everything on the map!

*** Relatedly, an easy way to score early victories in the metagame mode is to send your brainbot's intial dropship off to try and squish the enemy brain before it can safely bury itself in the terrain -- While a brainbot starts accompanied by an anti-air drone to fend off early attacks, they can still end up crushed by the debris of an exploding dropship.

** AAL. The weakest of this faction is a FragileSpeedster robot with regeneration capabilities and infinite ammo. That's not even getting into the more powerful clones, each with preinstalled BFG weaBFS pons and abilities. And even AAL looks like vanilla content compared to [=DSTech=].
** [=DSTech=] has giant mostly invincible robots with guns that can shoot through concrete in-game. Concrete can't be shot through with a vanilla bazooka.
*** While DSTech has been nerfed in recent versions, it's still more powerful than the vanilla factions by a decent margin. The robots are MadeOfIron now rather than NighInvulnerable, and the weapons can't shoot quite as far into concrete.
** Due to the modding nature of the game, it's very possible for anything to be game breaking, via bug, design, or accident. One could even go into the files and improve all the stats on the vanilla game's weapons and make them able to destroy half of the scenery. As such, all references to game breakers found in mods, after the above ones, should only be very notable cases, including well done parody, a surprising use of, or one found in a quality mod large enough to be considered an expansion.
** Using rockets as missiles. A rocket costs 50 gold, while a soldier equipped with a decent weapon will cost around 160 gold. One rocket can kill a whole group of enemies, inflicting massive economic damage. Put a bunch of cheap bombs in there and the rocket can be scuttled to guarantee instant death to everything within a 15 foot radius.

X Meets Y is a Just For Fun page and shouldn\'t be put on work pages. See this thread.

* XMeetsY: It's like VideoGame/DwarfFortress meets the flash game "Raze". The game has a futurestic theme and 2-d gameplay, but physics can be both disturbingly accurate and hilariously flawed, such as the abilty to hit somebodies hands and force them to drop their weapon, and with a little luck some very funny things can happen because of the engine. It also has a touch of "learning curve".

This isn\'t YMMV. Moving.

* ExcusePlot: The pretty cool plot, which gives room for modding and more potential story, is currently a justification for having a crash-test dummy blow a super-soldier's legs off with a blunderbuss. The key word is 'currently'. We'll be seeing an actual storyline in later builds.

This bit is not a bug it is a feature. Natter Not even allowed n a YMMV page.

*** That´s because a Bazooka has slow speed...concrete is no match for high velocity guns such as the Heavy Sniperrifle, which will pierce concrete easily.
* GoodBadBugs: The vanilla thrusters on drones, robots, dummies, etc. gives a bigger boost than a sustained thrust. Thus, by spamming the jumpjet button and with some practice, an overly loaded robot can reach any point on the map. Further, if a robot has lost its arms and can no longer use weapons, it can use the thrusters to increase its speed to that of a bullet, easily capable of ripping a rocket or dropship a new one.
