The story intentionally leaves a lingering gray morality note on things, but unambiguously has [[OnlyTheLeadsGetAHappyEnding the main cast end in a happy place]] despite effectively abandoning a world-threatening conflict, and the matter of how Blessings direct ''everyone else'' in the world is simply left unresolved or considered.]]

* StrawmanHasAPoint: Theodora, in her fight with Ruti, attempts to convince Ruti to return to being the Hero because the people need her to protect them from the Demon Lord's forces. The implication is that Theodora isn't considering what Ruti really wants, and Rit manages to talk her down by convincing her that the people don't need a Hero to be inspired to protect themselves. However, Ruti is still one of the most powerful people in the series' world, so her running off to live peacefully in the middle of a crisis comes across as incredibly selfish--her powers would be incredibly helpful to the people fighting the Demon Lord's army, no matter if she still has the title of the Hero or not.

* LesYay: Tisse and Ruti's relationship gives off this vibe. Tisse is one of the only other people Ruti is close with beyond her brother Gideon, and Tisse shows much more loyalty to Ruti and her own personal happiness over fighting the Demon King, leaving the Hero's party with her and collaborating in finding a way to suppress her Hero Blessing. [[spoiler: Post Season 1 Finale and Season 2 lays this on even more with the two living together in Zoltan in a similar spousal-like manner that Gideon and red are.]]

* TheyChangedItNowItSucks: In the light novel, the appearance of the contract demon named Belial is never specified beyond them having horns. The manga adaptation depicted them as a [[EvilIsSexy gorgeous scantily-clad]] [[CuteMonsterGirl dark-skinned woman]], so the anime surprised and annoyed manga readers when it turned her into a cartoonish anthropomorphic goat-man.
