* BigLippedAlligatorMoment: A RunningGag in the story is Roman soldiers saying that there must be a dragon hiding in the woods after hearing Cacofonix singing. One of the latest panels show a dragon indeed fleeing from the forest, with one of the female Roman soldiers commenting that she was sure there was a dragon in this story. This is the first and only time that a dragon has appeared in Asterix, and absolutely no other reference is made to it apart from this single panel.

* ValuesDissonance: Uderzo obviously made the album to answer years of questioning, from fans, on why female characters did not get important roles in the story. He apparently did not think that highlighting said female protagonists was a good idea, and this being TheNineties, the readership expressed no problem with that.

Unfortunate Implications is for things that are unintentionally offensive. This was clearly a Take That by the author. The content about Falling Sky isn't relevant, and the Olympic Games example was probably supposed to be Deliberate Values Dissonance.

* UnfortunateImplications: The ''Asterix'' series rarely had much in the way of well-written female characters, but ''Secret Weapon'' sees its sexism at its absolute worst; Bravura is a ''blatant'' StrawFeminist who rants against male oppression but [[{{Hypocrite}} has no hesitation in trying to use her sexual wiles on Asterix]] to try and convince him to [[ManipulativeBastard replace Vitalstatistix so she can rule the village at Asterix's side]], then after [[DoubleStandardRapeFemaleOnMale forcefully kissing him]] she gets him banished when he (not entirely unreasonably) [[RageBreakingPoint hits her]]. When Getafix leaves with Asterix, causing even the women to worry about the Romans taking over, Bravura immediately declares she's [[TheQuisling going to negotiate a peace with the Romans to end the conflict]]. The women take over the village when the men leave in protest of Asterix's banishment but they immediately do nothing except hold fashion shows (Bravura even closes the school, despite teaching the children being ''her job''). And Caesar's female legion plan falls apart because apparently ''all'' women are shallow ditzes who will drop everything when tempted with clothes shopping.

* StrawmanHasAPoint: Despite her debatable [[WeCanRuleTogether secret goal]], Bravura raises interesting questions: why women cannot have the occupation of their choice? Why can't they fight, wear what they want, be a village's chief? The last line (Fulliautomatix's daughter comments that she can't wait to grow up and rule the village) prove that these questions definitively made their ways in some minds, after all.

* UnfortunateImplications: Let's see: a feminist who turn out to be a HystericalWoman, a sexual harasser, and TheStarscream with an overthrow secret agenda. And when she question the (lesser) place of women in society, it immediately turn into a war of sexes. Let's say that the album did not got old very well, despite Bravura [[HeelFaceTurn redeeming]] herself in the last part of the album.

*ValuesDissonance: Uderzo obviously made the album to answer years of questioning, from fans, on why female characters did not get important roles in the story. He apparently did not think that highlighting said female protagonists was a good idea, and this being TheNineties, no problem with that. 15 years later, Uderzo answered the question "What do you prefer between mangas and European comics?" in ''Asterix and the Falling Sky'' by [[Understatement "I hate mangas"]]. This time (being TurnOfTheMillennium), the author faced [[SoBadItsHorrible such negative reactions]], he stopped writing for ''Asterix''.
**It's worth noting that in AsterixAtTheOlympicGames, in 1968, the idea of a woman conducting a chariot [[WomenDrivers was ridiculed]], while in 2017, in ''Asterix and the Race through Italy'' , (written by the new author, Jean- Yves Ferri) two female drivers are [[SocietyMarchesOn among contestants.]]

*StrawmanHasAPoint: Despite her debatable [[WeCanRuleTogether secret goal]], Bravura raise interesting questions: why women cannot have the occupation of their choice? Why they can't fight, wear what they want, be a village's chief? The last line (Fulliautomatix's duaghter comments that she can't wait to grow up and rule the village) prove that these questions definitively made their ways in some minds, after all.
