Twelve years later, Johnny resurfaces with some help from the Devil and murders all his associates in gruesome ways for almost no reason at all, even [[VillainousIncest raping]] and [[OffingTheOffspring murdering]] his innocent daughter Epiphany. When discovered and told he would burn in Hell, Johnny simply agrees with the cop, proving to be "as close to pure evil as [Evangeline Proudfoot] ever wanted to get".]]

* BestKnownForTheFanservice: Most people remember this as "the movie where the [[Series/TheCosbyShow Cosby kid]] gets naked". It's unfortunate since the film is an excellent horror/mystery with great performances by everyone involved, including Creator/MickeyRourke and Creator/RobertDeNiro. Ironically, the scene itself is FanDisservice, quickly diving into BloodyHorror, plus a later reveal [[spoiler:that they're [[SurpriseIncest father and daughter]].]]

As Epiphany's mother stated, Johnny was as close to true evil as she wanted to get.

He makes contracts with mortals in exchange for their souls so he can take them to Hell, or sometimes devour them. After Johnny Favorite escapes out of the deal he made with the Devil, he hires Harold Angel to bring Johnny back to him. He arranges for all of Favorite's old allies to be gruesomely murdered in the process. He claims to live by "an eye for an eye"-type honor, but eventually shows his hypocrisy when he also causes the death of the innocent Epiphany in about [[CruelAndUnusualDeath the most horrifying way possible]] and murders his human attorney by [[MakeItLookLikeAnAccident staging an accident]]. He freely admits that he positively revels in all the death he sees occuring to humanity.
