* TheSmurfettePrinciple: Lizzy Valentine, the sole female member of the roster. Well, [[Wrestling/SaraDelRey Nic Grimes]] was female too but the only things ever said about Nic was that Nic was related to Vic Grimes and had a thing for Wrestling/ArikCannon. The whole significance of "Nic" would be completely lost on those not already familiar with her previous "Nikki" gimmick.

* BreakupBreakout
** Out of the entire roster of Wrestling Society X, the most successful alumni would be Tyler Black, who would eventually sign with the WWE and become Wrestling/SethRollins, a member of Wrestling/TheShield, one of the most popular wrestling stables of the modern era. After the Shield broke up, he would go on to become WWE World Heavyweight Champion.
** Ricky Banderas has achieved similar levels of success, but he was already becoming a big name in pro wrestling through IWA Puerto Rico before Wrestling Society X was conceived and had cemented his legacy in Wrestling/{{AAA}} before it had finished. He would also later go on to be a major part of Wrestling/LuchaUnderground as Mil Muertes. A lesser case was Horiguchi, who would do well in Wrestling/DragonGate with his [[BaldOfAwesome Hage]] gimmick.

All in all, it had the marks of a promotion that had just started to find its voice when it was ScrewedByTheNetwork: MTV took offense at a spot where wrestler Ricky Banderas set opponent Vampiro on fire, and pulled the show from the schedule. The rest of the episodes were quickly burned off in a single night, with the final episode unseen until the DVD release.

All in all, it had the marks of a promotion that had just started to find its voice when it was ScrewedByTheNetwork: MTV took offense at ScrewedByTheNetwork. Originally, the cancellation was blamed on a spot where wrestler Ricky Banderas set opponent Vampiro on fire, fire with a flash paper fireball, which, due to a mishap, was larger than it was originally meant to be. In 2016, Kevin Kleinrock refuted the story [[https://www.youtube.com/watch?v=QsUNX8_R4_k in an interview]], blaming MTV, their scheduling (Kleinrock had begged them not to put WSX up against Wrestling/{{WWE}}'s revival of Wrestling/{{ECW}}, which they did anyway), and pulled falling ratings for the show from the schedule.entire male-centric block WSX belonged to (which was cancelled en masse) instead. The rest of the episodes were quickly burned off in a single night, with the final episode unseen until the DVD release.
