Her big break in the entertainment industry came when she won a contest to become a new Nitro Girl for WCW in 1999. She initially appeared performing dance routines under the name Skye - before becoming a proper on screen character as Miss Hancock, valet to Standards and Practices. She wrestled the occasional match, though she was not an ActionGirl herself. After a storyline romance with Reid Flair, she started using her real name.

She wrestled the occasional match, though she was not an ActionGirl herself. After a storyline romance with Reid Flair, she started using her real name.

When WCW was bought by WWF in 2001, Stacy's contract was also bought and she was incorporated as a character on WWF television. Now part of The Alliance, Stacy portrayed a more physical role than in WCW - a DarkActionGirl who sneak attacked and cheated to win matches. During this time she also served as the manager to the Dudley Boyz - being declared the Duchess of Dudleyville. When the brand split was introduced in 2002, she was part of Smackdown and challenged for the Women's Championship a few times.

She defected to Raw following a HeelFaceTurn
and was one of used more as a valet and on screen character than wrestler, save for the two women (the other being Wrestling/TorrieWilson) brought to Wrestling/WWE upon WCW's buyout in 2001. * TookALevelInBadass: In late 2004, when she pinned Wrestling/MollyHolly in three separate matches (although she needed some help the third time), became Number One Contender to Wrestling/TrishStratus' Women's Championship, and then entered a seven-Diva Battle Royal at Taboo Tuesday and did better than anyone could have expected, making it more than two-thirds of the way through the match and being the longest-lasting face Diva left in the ring. Pretty impressive for someone who was consistently losing Bra and Panties matches just two years earlier. Alas, it was only temporary. WWE had wanted to give Stacy a reign as Women's Champion and were trying to build her up. She was originally booked to win the Taboo Tuesday battle royal, but on the day of the match, she told WWE officials she didn't deserve to be champion as she wasn't a wrestler, and they should leave the title on Trish Stratus. Shortly afterwards, Stacy was back losing Bra and Panties matches to newcomer (and 2004 Diva Search winner) Christy Hemme, reverting her back to her FauxActionGirl status.

* ContinuityNod: While Trish Stratus was enjoying her storyline romance with Chris Jericho, Stacy offered her advice. She specifically said that there was no love lost between her and Jericho - referencing an incident that happened six months previously. Jericho had been feuding with Test and accidentally struck Stacy with a chair at ringside.
** Likewise her relationship with Torrie Wilson was still notably a little frosty in 2003 - despite both of them now being faces. This nodded that they still remembered their feud during the Invasion.

Added DiffLines:

* SexySpectacles: As Ms Hancock. Also when managing the Dudleys.

Added DiffLines:

* SpiritualSuccessor: Brooke Adams popped up in TNA doing a SexySecretary gimmick known as Miss Tessmacher - an obvious Expy to Stacy's Miss Hancock gimmick.

Added DiffLines:

* YouCanLeaveYourHatOn: Memorably performed a striptease for Randy Orton the night he hosted Raw - which was also the TV debut for Candice Michelle, Maria Kanellis and Melina Perez. Apparently her mother was also in the crowd.

This was a followup to Jackie having flashed Conway, with her back to the camera, the week before. WWE was teasing a Magazine/Playboy photo shoot featuring two Divas, as opposed to how the three previous ones (Wrestling/Sable in 1999, Wrestling/Chyna in 2000 and Torrie Wilson in 2003) had each featured only one. This led to the Sable[=/=]Torrie vs. Stacy[=/=]Jackie Playboy Evening Gown Match at Wrestling/WrestleMania XX.

* AmbiguouslyJewish: Suspected of this by some fans, due to her Ashkenazi-sounding last name and vaguely Semitic facial features...but as she was RaisedCatholic, it isn't very likely. Still, she does hail from Baltimore, a city famous for its ethnic and religious diversity and that (at least proportionately) is home to a Jewish population that rivals that of New York, so it's possible that Stacy has a mixed ethnoreligious heritage. If she does, it's definitely a case of MatzoFever.

* Chickification: Maybe it wasn't to an extreme degree, but Stacy did go through her ups and downs (sadly, mostly downs) during her four-and-a-half years in WWE. When she came to WWE in the summer of 2001, she did so not as a NaiveNewcomer but as a full-blooded member of the Alliance, DarkActionGirl, and someone at least modestly dangerous in the ring. Over the next year, she slid into decay as a Diva used mostly for Fanservice, and the year after that decayed still more as her HeelFaceTurn turned her StupidGood and a prime target for all kinds of bullies, both male and female, both heel and face(!). She finally TookALevelInBadass in late 2004 and actually managed to win some matches and become Number One Contender to the Women's Championship. Then it was right back to Stupid Good ButtMonkey status for the rest of her career, especially when RandyOrton RKO'ed her in preparation for his [=WrestleMania=] match with TheUndertaker.

* HiddenDepths: Along with Torrie Wilson, Sharmell Sullivan, and a number of other Faux Action Girls, a graduate (in June 2000, and one of the last) of WCW's notorious Power Plant, a pro-wrestling training facility so tough and grueling that it ended BretHart's career. To clarify, Goldberg had been a graduate of the Power Plant. In a match with Hart, he kicked the "Hitman" in the neck so hard that it resulted in an injury that (temporarily) forced Hart to retire. Hart later blamed the Power Plant for not teaching its students to pull their punches.

* MusclesAreMeaningless: She possessed surprising strength and stamina for a woman with a BMI (body-mass index) of only about 19 (borderline anexoric, even by non-wrestling standards) and once even bodyslammed Lita during a mixed tag-team match also featuring the Dudley Boyz and the Hardy Boyz.

* TookALevelInBadass: In late 2004, when she pinned MollyHolly in three separate matches (although she needed some help the third time), became Number One Contender to TrishStratus' Women's Championship, and then entered a seven-Diva Battle Royal at Taboo Tuesday and did better than anyone could have expected, making it more than two-thirds of the way through the match and being the longest-lasting face Diva left in the ring. Pretty impressive for someone who was consistently losing Bra and Panties matches just two years earlier.
