* CanadaEh: Averted - Par the course for American wrestling, the Canadian wrestlers run the gamut from the friendly and good natured to the cartoonishly evil. More surprising is that SHIMMER also avoids the [[DullSurprise charisma black hole]] stereotype. This is probably because a large percentage of the Shimmer roster are Canadian. So much so that Allison Danger once mused that it should be renamed SHIMMER- ''Canadian'' Athletes.

* ScreamingWarrior: [=MsChif=] which is to be expected since she's a banshee ([[GutturalGrowler it's almost a roar]]). Rebecca Knox at a higher pitch. Daffney, mainly from prior reputation since, she's ''mostly'' been a manager here. Britani Knight has the scream of a frustrated child but is much better in the ring than her win/loss record would have you believe (which is why she's frustrated).

** Rachel Summerlynn and Jessica James team up as [[Film/BillAndTed Rachel and Jessica's Excellent Tag Team]].

* MultiethnicName: Ayako Hamada's full name is Ayako Valentina Hamada Villarreal.

* OperaGloves: Rayna Von Tash. Usually don't stay on for too long.

** On Volume 24 Cheerleader Melissa hits Sara Del Rey with a kick right in the face, prompting Dave Prazak and Portia Perez to lose it on commentary laughing. They even replay the spot twice to giggle at it and Portia asks to see it more times.

** Daizee Haze's feud with Rebecca Knox was cut short when the latter suffered a career-threatening injury. The feud was planned to end with a 30-minute Iron Woman match.
* AbusiveParents: Saraya Knight seems to heap a lot of verbal/emotional abuse on Britani. Cheerleader Melissa, Saraya's established foe, suggested beatings were also involved.

** Sharks for Daffney, Solo Darling (though she settled into furry enthusiast) and Kimberly Maddox

* ArchEnemy: Courtney Rush and Cherry Bomb, after the latter cut the former's hair, though Cherry ''really'' hates Candice [=LeRae=] for breaking her collar bone.

* ItIsPronouncedTroPAY: Nikki Storm is never satisfied with how the ring announcer (or anyone else, including fellow Glaswegian Kay Lee Ray) pronounces "GLASGOW, SCOTLAND!", and insists on demonstrating how to do it properly.

Shimmer Women Athletes, mostly known simply as SHIMMER, is an all-women's independent wrestling promotion based in Berwyn, Illinois, established in 2005 and run by commentator Dave Prazak and wrestler Allison Danger.

* FallacyOfDivision: Being good in singles doesn't mean good in tag team wrestling. The Experience and Minnesota Home Wrecking Crew are not bad wrestlers individually, for example but as teams they are something else entirely. Lorelei Lee and Cindy Rogers, Sara Del Rey and Mercedes Martinez beat them decisively individually but lost almost as decisively when paired up.
