As an actor, Swenson is best known for his portrayal of ComicBook/{{Bane}} in the 1997 film ''Film/BatmanAndRobin''. Swenson's 6'4", 405-pound build made him physically perfect for the role, however, the actual characterization of Swenson's Bane as a form of DumbMuscle, is another issue entirely.

Swenson died on August 18, 1997 at the age of 40. His massive size, brought on by steroid abuse, resulted in heart failure.
