--->'''Batman:''' We know he used you. Humiliated you. Brainwashed you. Wound you up like a tin soldier and let you loose on Earth. ''Cry me a river.'' On the outside chance that this isn't one of his schemes, we have to take action. So, I suggest you ''get over it.''

* ''WesternAnimation/X-MenEvolution'': Professor X gets one of these from his students after it was revealed that their principal was actually Mystique. Earlier in the episode, he and Logan had a conversation about it with Logan wondering why he doesn't just tell them the truth. Charles responds with the fact that they are supposed to respect their principal, but how does he tell the them that the respectful figure and their enemy are one and the same, clearly having struggled with revealing it to them for a while. The final scene of the episode "Turn of the Rogue" has the students surprised by the fact and even saying it was the same as lying to them.

* ''WesternAnimation/IsleOfDogs'': Ironically, it's the hero of our story (Chief) who is giving such a speech to another hero (Spots), the one they've been searching for. He calls out Spots for [[spoiler:essentially wanting to give up his duty as Atari's guard dog because he has a new duty as the leader of the Aboriginal dogs, and he is going to be a father]]. And this is after what Atari went through to find his beloved dog, something none of the Megasaki residents even bothered to try.
** On a milder note, Rex is not happy with Chief's way of doing things and calls him out, like not wanting to help Atari at first and getting them injured along the way.
-->'''Rex''': You're disobedient!
