* {{Retcon}}: Hannah B. Williams' character history undergoes an odd bit of revisionism. It's revealed that [[spoiler: she cheated on tests and enjoyed torturing small animals when nobody else was watching. However, during the series, she was clearly shown to be the smartest member of Todd's gang and hardly seemed like the kind of student who needed to cheat. And while it may be somewhat conceivable that she cheated in non-science-related classes, her torture of animals comes off as even more strange, considering she she was explicitly shown to be alone with a small animal in the first season, which showed no obvious signs of being tortured. And while Hannah did get the rodent killed in a botched science experiment, it was portrayed as being purely accidental on Hannah's part, rather than any sign of sadism towards animals.]]

!!The Tropes of Pure Evil:

* AndIMustScream: This was to be expected from [[spoiler:Atticus, given that he was trapped inside a freaking book, but we actually get a glimpse at what was on the other side. A monster with very phallic tentacles is implied to have raped him.]]
* TheAtoner: [[spoiler:Atticus attempts to be this throughout the movie, with varying degrees of failure. He is just as terrible at being good as he is at being evil, at least until he really gets a time to shine and smacks the Giant Wolf!Metal Dudes in the face with a mop.]]
* BackFromTheDead: [[spoiler:Subverted with Hannah. She was one of many clones created by mixing samples from the Book with human DNA, and whenever one of her dies, another one emerges from the lab beneath the retirement home.]]
* BarbieDollAnatomy: [[spoiler:The Hannah clones have no genitals, although they do apparently have nipples.]]
* BeingEvilSucks: Aside from Todd, there’s also [[spoiler:Hannah D. Williams, who is disturbed when she realizes that she was created to destroy the world, and tries to resist the urge, but dies before anything can come of it.]]
* BittersweetEnding: [[spoiler:The gang’s all back together, the Metal Dudes have been sealed away for good, Todd and Jenny are officially dating … but the Book is back, and will continue to wreak havoc throughout the school. Not that that’ll stop the Gang from hunting it. Oh, [[ArsonMurderAndJaywalking and Todd is only so-so in the sack]].]]
* CallBack:
** The scene where Atticus is [[spoiler:hiding from a monster in the Book’s realms]] is made to look exactly like the one where he’s cowering from the wolf.
** Atticus still doesn’t know the difference between ass kicking and ass pounding.
** [[spoiler:The Metal Dudes are the wolf that raped Atticus in his youth.]]
* CloningBlues: [[spoiler:Hannah’s origin story.]]

However, he returns, and replaces Atticus as the school guidance counselor. By the end, he is reunited with Nikki, who can operate of her own volition and is now holding the Metal Dudes prisoner.]]
** [[spoiler:Todd is now free of his Pure Evil power, he and Jenny are officially an item, and they have finally boned. Even if Jenny only thinks Todd is “so-so in the sack”.]]
** [[spoiler:Atticus is finally happy with being a janitor, and has been let back into the gang.]]
** [[spoiler:One of the Hannah clones, who was created from pure human DNA and none from the Book ([[RunningGag and has a vagina]]!) is taken in by the gang and Curtis continues dating her.]]
* FacialHorror: One student uses the Book to get revenge on the students laughing at him for having acne. This backfires, and the Book turns his zits into giant, [[HollywoodAcid acidic]] boils that reduce anyone they explode on to bone. As well as taking a good chunk of the student’s face out whenever they explode, revealing the bone beneath.
* FanDisservice: We get to see Hannah topless. In fact, [[spoiler:we get to see a few Hannahs topless.]] The downside? [[spoiler:The ones we see topless are closer to Pure Evil, and as such, [[EvilMakesYouUgly hideous]].]]
* GagBoobs: [[spoiler:The ending sequence shows a student with a pair of tits for eyes. Why? [[ExactWords He wanted to see boobs]].]]
* {{Gorn}}: Well, obviously, considering the source material. Though it’s surprisingly less ludicrous.
* NoEnding: [[spoiler:The Book is still loose, which means the gang will always be there to chase it down until they finally catch it.]]
* OneWingedAngel: A couple variants are used.
** [[spoiler:The Hannah clones are all created from human DNA and samples from the Book of Pure Evil. Each clone is a bit closer to Pure Evil than the last, thus less human in appearance, height, and strength. And whenever one clone is killed, one of the stronger ones rises.]]
** [[spoiler:The Metal Dudes fuse together to form a large wolf — the same one that raped Atticus in his youth. They’re far stronger and faster in this form, although it only takes a mop to the face to turn them back.]]
* ShoutOut: A few.
