* HostageSituation: Our heroes are forced to take [[MadScientistsBeautifulDaughter Gwyn]] captive in order to escape Drednok and get the ''Protostar'' airborne. Little do they know that the ship itself is the hostage; simply being in control of it prevents the Diviner from attacking them for fear of damaging it, regardless of Gywn's presence there. The pilot ends with her still tied to the captain’s chair. He does care that they've taken her once he's aware of it, but the ship is his prize.
