Small Potatoes is a British children's animated series about... small potatoes, as hard as that may be to believe.

More specifically, this show is about the four small potatoes in question, Nate, Ruby, Olaf, and Chip, singing songs. Each three-minute-long episode showcased a song sung by the potatoes that had to do with a specific topic (e.g. feelings, art, the seasons, raindrops, etc.)... and that's about it. Pretty simple stuff, really.

The show was created by Josh Selig, the same person who created Series/Oobi and WesternAnimation/WonderPets. In the UK, this show aired on Creator/CBeebies; in America, it aired on Disney Junior.

* ACappella: The potatoes sing the theme song without the accompaniment of instruments.
* AnthropomorphicFood: This is to be expected when the main characters are potatoes.
* AlliterativeName: Simon Snail, a top hat-wearing, monocled snail character who appears in a few episodes.
* DeliberatelyMonochrome: Three shots of the potatoes in "Today's the Perfect Day (Haircut)" are in black and white, just like on an old black-and-white TV. The beginning of the episode's song actually shows an old-fashioned TV being turned on and displaying the black-and-white potatoes on its screen.
* DoItYourselfThemeTune: The theme song is sung by the potatoes.
* TheMovie: It got a Mockumentary film in 2013 called Meet the Small Potatoes. Yes, seriously.
* StrictlyFormula: In every episode, one of the potatoes gives their thoughts on whatever the topic of the episode's song is. Then the song itself plays, which is followed by the potatoes saying something related to the song's topic afterwards. That's all there is to it.
* TitleThemeTune: "Small Potatoes on the moon! Small Potatoes in the sea!"
