* HarsherInHindsight: In-universe, in the "Dean Martin vs. Jerry Lewis" fight[[hottip:*: which was being aired from the CDM Vault after [[spoiler: Roger Ebert was flung into the announcer's booth, which caused Nick to fall off, putting him into a coma]]]], Nick barely avoided getting hit by Jerry Lewis, who was knocked out of the ring. * IAmNotShazam: Averted in the first Halloween episode; in the first fight, Frankenstein's Monster vs the Wolfman, the monster in question was in fact referred as ''Frankenstein's monster''.

* SeriesContinuityError: An odd case, but two fights that come from the CDM Vault showcase two different versions of a 1950s Celebrity Deathmatch: one that had a swinger vibe[[hottip:*: the "Dean Martin vs. Jerry Lewis" fight (shown in Season 1)]] and one that had a variety show vibe[[hottip:*: the "John Wayne vs. Groucho Marx" fight (shown in Season 2)]].
** The kicker? The Season 2 fight was from 1955. The season 1 fight, despite no year being given, took place a little while after Dean Martin broke up his comedy act with Lewis to join the Rat Pack; said event occurred ''in 1956''.

* WildlifeCommentarySpoof In a variant that has SteveIrwin spend his time in the ring doing a running naturalists' commentary on the Medusa he was ''supposed'' to be fighting.

* NoseYodeling: The reason why they pit [[PearlJam Eddie Vedder]] against [[{{Creed}} Scott Stapp]].

* FunnyAneurysmMoment: During their fight Medusa tail-whips Steve Irwin in the chest and sends him out of the ring. Once he recovers, he reaches inside the wound holds his heart out and then puts it back on its place saying "What a stinger!".

* TheProblemWithLicensedGames: A pitifully short roster, career mode, create-a-celebrity, weak controls, etc. will mean you ''will'' do '''everything''' possible in the game within two hours.

* TooDumbToLive: Several cases, but one that comes to mind is the Paul Reubens vs. George Michael fight. Before the fight, Reubens (in character as [[{{Ptitleaid3h4w5}} Pee Wee Herman]]) said that the secret word for the fight would be "sucker", and that when he shouted it, the crowd was to start screaming wildly. Later in the fight, Reubens tricked Michael into [[SchmuckBait taming a tiger and making it go to sleep]]... only for Reubens to shout "Sucker!" Yeah, George kinda deserved that one.

** OzzyOsbourne zombified Rob [[PunnyName Zombie]] into his slave during the match though [[spoiler: a foot massage gone wrong makes Rob hunger for flesh, eventually taking his brain (which Ozzy was threatening to destroy), and [[TooDumbToLive spiking it (like a football), killing him.]]]]
