''Black Dynamite'' is an 2012 AnimatedAdaptation of the 2009 movie ''Film/BlackDynamite'', which was an AffectionateParody of {{Blaxploitation}} films, on Creator/AdultSwim. The series does not follow the same StylisticSuck of the movie, instead it ratchets up the silliness by [[WidgetSeries mixing in supernatural, extraterrestrial, and just whacked out nonsense to its plots]], largely derived from 1970s black pop culture, with a ''lot'' of LampshadeHanging, as Black Dynamite and his crew take on any threats that seek to put the black man down.

** Though it's range is unrealistic, what does BD use to go from the clearly ''Mir''-inspired Soviet space station to the Moon? Why, the ''Lunniy Korabl'' from the unsuccessful [[TheSpaceRace N1 Rocket]].

* SpeaksFluentAnimal: Black Dynamite finds a monkey cosmonaut onboard an abandoned Soviet station, and understands ''everything'' that he says, including how the monkey ended up getting abandoned in space in the ''exact same method'' by the Russian government that NASA did to Black Dynamite.

* ImAHumanitarian: Mr. T loves to cook humans with his special barbeque sauce.

* BrokenAesop: Constantly, It's even inverted in the Christmas episode when the orphan who requested a moon rock stated that he and the other orphans learned their lesson and appreciate what they had. BD responds by taking back the moon rock and going to flush it down the toilet because they didn't show any appreciation for the rock itself and the hard work he went through to get it.

After OJ Simpson betrays Black Dynamite and leaves him for dead in space, Black Dynamite lands on the moon and throws a moon rock at the earth while cursing OJ's name. OJ in the meantime, claims all the glory for being a NASA hero. Black Dynamite manages to get back home just in time to see the moon rock crash through the roof of the Whorephanage and knock OJ out. Black Dynamite even mentions it's the very same rock he threw right before he left the moon.

* MushroomSamba: In ''Panic on the Player's Ball Express'' Black Dynamite overdoses on flu medicine and starts hallucinating that he's in his own bloodstream and that all the enemies are bits of the flu virus he came down with.
