A spin-off of the ''WesternAnimation/{{Madagascar}}'' series on {{Creator/Netflix}}. This [[AllCGICartoon computer-animated cartoon]] features [[ItsAllAboutMe King Julien XIII]], chronicling his life on Madagascar [[{{Prequel}} prior to the events of the films]]. * ArtEvolution: Compared to ''WesternAnimation/ThePenguinsOfMadagscar'', the animation is more detailed, notably in the fact that the animals have more detailed fur.
