** Ebony refers to her and Harold Wisley preparing a special dinner for Siobhan and Renee as "[=MacBrae=] Appreciation." This term might seem confusing for those just reading this comic, but in ''Webcomic/MaddieOnTheIslandHue'', Siobhan mentions that her mother's maiden name, as well as her own middle name, is [=MacBrae=]. Ebony likely used that term due to Siobhan earlier mentioning her hatred for her surname Pattinson due to it reminding her of her father who abandoned her family.

* In Volume 11, [[spoiler: Siobhan has to resort to stabbing a man in the arm with a knife to prevent him from further hurting Ebony in a bar fight. She could very well be arrested for assault for doing something like that. Despite the fact that it was in self defense, the men who started the fight could very possibly find a way to frame themselves as victims in that scenario, not helped by the fact that [[DeliberateValuesDissonance considering the time period]], the court might not be too accepting of a same-sex couple getting in a bar fight. Not helping is the fact that [=MacVeigh=] earlier stated that Volume 10 is the LAST chapter of happiness for Siobhan and Ebony, meaning that no matter what happens, any hope of Siobhan and Ebony possibly trying to builds themselves back up after this might be too much to ask]].

** Meta example: Back in ''Webcomic/MaddieInAmerica'', MacVeigh wound up removing a lot of the more sexual moments from the comic because he didn't like the tonal shift they created (despite the fact that doing so made the story kind of end in the middle). [[spoiler: Clearly, his stance on tonal shifts changed somewhere between then and Volume 11 of this comic, with the shift being much more drastic than the one in ''Webcomic/MaddieInAmerica'', although the moments that cause the shift in this comic are more of a violent nature than a sexual one]].

** With that in mind, let's also include [[spoiler: the bar patrons in Florida who fight Siobhan and Ebony, since the pain they inflict is even ''greater'' than what Ebony's coworkers did to her. And even those that ''don't'' directly fight them refuse to help them, making them [[AccompliceByInaction Accomplices By Inaction]]]].
