''Life of Maid'' (''Maid-san No Hibi'') is a ''VideoGame/{{Touhou}}'' SliceOfLife [[{{Yonkoma}} 4koma]] series from a {{doujinshi}} artist by the name of colonel_aki. This series stars the cast of the Scarlet Devil Mansion and their friends in the MagicalLand of Gensokyo. For the most part, "speech" is expressed through images (while many strips are completely silent), with only a few background signs, and the humor is character, rather than pun-based, making the series "translate" well.

* AbnormalAmmo / TorpedoTits: Kind of. [[http://safebooru.org/index.php?page=post&s=view&id=236415&pool_id=81 Flandre slaps Sakuya in the back]] and... well...
* ACupAngst: Sakuya keeps trying to get a bigger chest using pads (mention this and she'll hurt you).

* ArtEvolution: colonel_aki's artistic skill has been getting as the series goes on, including his works outside of ''Life of Maid''.

* AssShove: When Patchy gets sick in strip #15, Eirin prescribes a spring onion up the rear as treatment (a real folk remedy that people used to do in Japan). Patchy doesn't take it well.
* BaitAndSwitch: One strip has Sakuya going back to the SDM at night, going through a dimly lit back alley, a shadowy figure creeps closer and Sakuya looks back with an [[UncannyValley creepy anxious face]]...and it turns out to be just [[CuteGhostGirl Kogasa]] trying to surprise Sakuya.
* BadassBiker: ZigZagged. Upon seeing a motorbike, Meiling [[http://safebooru.org/index.php?page=post&s=view&id=730472&pool_id=81 imagines herself]] as one, though [[DrivesLikeCrazy her reputation with vehicles is not the best in the world]]. So she tries to ride it and sure enough she crashes into Nitori's lab. However, Nitori then fixes it up, and soon she is driving it like a real off-road[[labelnote:*]]or rather, ''on-sea''[[/labelnote]] champion. Two weeks after the fact, however, she finds herself washed up on the sea, found by fishermen.
* BeachEpisode: Which is strange since there are no oceans in Gensokyo.

* ButtMonkey: Meiling happens to be the butt of most of the jokes. Mostly involving Sakuya's knives.

*** When he was [[SantaClaus Santa]] and [[ItMakesSenseInContext lost his coat]] he was unfortunate enough to be caught by Youmu as he was [[NotWhatItLooksLike standing over Yuyuko in his loincloth]]. Also getting Flandre's chocolates.
** Patchy also gets the short end of the ButtMonkey stick a lot of the time. Virtually every time she goes out of the mansion (voluntarily or not) ends in some kind of pain for her.

* CurbStompBattle: What Meiling wanted to be a [[http://safebooru.org/index.php?page=post&s=view&id=182040&pool_id=81 SDM vs. Eientei]] volleyball match ends up as one where Sakuya teams up with Eirin instead.
** It happened to Meiling when she unknowingly fought against Patchouli in Gensokyou Fighter IV, with Patchy getting a FlawlessVictory no less.

* DefeatMeansFriendship: Meiling and Shou. They meet, they fight over one last piece of item remaining in the shelf, they get Master Spark'd by Marisa, they settle things in the Arcade, and after defeating each other one time each, they're playing Strawberry of The Dead on Co-op mode and [[OhCrap brace themselves together for the incoming rage of their bosses for blowing their shopping money on the arcade]].

* LethalChef: Flandre in terms of making chocolate. Sakuya offers to help on Valentine's Day 2013, but ends up being shocked by her appalling cooking skills -- and more so when the chocolate actually turns out ''decent'' that time!

However, Tewi, befitting her troublesome nature, steals the control device in a fit of mischief. In fighting for the controls they cause Robo-Marisa to flail wildly and eventually break its head off, much to Patchy's and Alice's horror. Tewi (and Suwako who was also involved), [[KarmaHoudini of course]], [[ScrewThisImOuttaHere runs away]] before Patchy and Alice find out who caused this whole mess.

** Mokou playing with old school toys and games. Mostly because Keine can't afford to give her as much as Kaguya and Patchy are able to.

* SchoolSwimsuit: Patchouli attempts to get the others in one to no avail.

** Sakuya, when she realised she didn't have enough money to pay for Meiling's ice-cream at Letty's ice-cream shop.
