* PeopleOfHairColor: Northerners are almost universally blond (though Sathu and her mom are strawberry blondes) while Saengorians have dark brown hair. Zhuri is dismayed that he gets targeted by the goblin for it despite being born in the north.

* TheWomenAreSafeWithUs: When one of the slavers tries to rape Kelu, their leader has Junuka knock the man out and severely lectures the others. His motives for doing so aren't yet clear, as it's already been established that he's [[WouldHitAGirl not a very nice guy.]]
