* Many are guessing that she's related to F.A.N.G in some way, perhaps even being the "Phantom" that he mentored. Given F.A.N.G's role in Shadaloo, it's possible that she was recruited into Amnesia following JP's rise to the top. After all, she wouldn't have the loyalty to Bison that her apparent predecessor did.

** In addition, we'll be going full circle since Tiffany was designed to debut in Street Fighter III before the creation of Rival Schools as a boxer character whose spot was later filled by Dudley.
* King Cobra, finally getting his chance at being a playable character at last. He'll be established as a friend of Jamie, since Jamie's concept is similar to Cobra's, and a rival of Rufus since Rufus replaced Cobra during development of Street Fighter IV.
* [[Franchise/{{Tekken}} Jin Kazama]]. Bonus points if he mentions [[VideoGame/Tekken7 having fought Akuma at some point]], as a way of fully tying the two franchises together.

Maybe Kyle from Streetwise?

** Or maybe Twenty-Four could be the upgrade.
* März: Cammy does say that she was obliterated with NoBodyLeftBehind in V, but this is still a bit suspicious, given how Charlie was able to come back (and then die for good), as was Gouken. Her return could have her end up somehow involved with JP, (and possibly G and/or Gill), her dying for real to finish off JP in the end or perhaps finally earning her happy ending.
* [[VideoGame/MegaMan3 Proto Man]]: Given that Dr. Light seems to exist (on money, apparently) alongside the Mets, it’s not too implausible Proto Man could join the fight at some point. Proto Man’s story would explain his absence from 11, and could also end up detailing the end of his life as his power core depletes away and eventually kills him, with him taking to the streets to fight humans as a way to try and find his true purpose and possibly stave off his demise.
* [[VideoGame/RivalSchools Tiffany Lords]]: One of the most popular Rival Schools characters, she would also be the first ever female boxer in the series. Would also be interesting to see where she is now, possibly even being the First Lady!

One noticeable thing about the Year 1 roster is that most of them either debuted in Street Fighter V or take cues from characters that debuted in that game, with Akuma being the only exception. So it's possible that future years could do something similar and have most of the characters in that year be from the same past game, with especially popular characters being an exception.

So it's possible that future years could do something similar and have most of the characters in that year be from the same past game, with especially popular characters being an exception. Other games in the Street Fighter SharedUniverse could also have their own DLC year, given how none are present in the Year 1 DLC roster despite 5 itself having added some (Abigail, Lucia, Akira), unless of course they fall into the “especially popular” clause. There may also be years devoted to GuestFighters and brand new characters, possibly one for characters that are already part of the lore being PromotedToPlayable and another for completely original ones.
[[WMG: A second story mode will center around the main cast]]
Given the disappointing reaction to the open-ended ending to World Tour, with J.P. seemingly at large and not much resolved, as well as the lack of focus on the main cast, it’s possible a second story mode more in the vein of A Shadow Falls will be done to satisfy the fans of the characters and resolve the storyline. However, the second story mode will not be released until after at least a few DLC seasons have been released, to incorporate more characters into it, whereas A Shadow Falls didn’t incorporate the DLC characters.

[[WMG:How the DLC veterans have evolved since [=SF3=]]]
From being framed to disgrace to finding peace in their life post-Shadaloo, a lot of the veterans in Street Fighter 6 have changed quite a bit since the previous entry in-canon, Street Fighter 3. And with the story being as it is it makes one wonder how the only 3 veterans in Season 1 have changed.
* Rashid: After avenging his friend in Street Fighter 5's story, perhaps Rashid has decided to take his online career to Nayshall.
* Ed: Ed seems to have situated himself in Germany now, but considering his short lifespan as a clone meant for Bison, one must wonder what he's been up to.
* Akuma: The only one of the veterans whose changes are the most drastic, Akuma appears to have become a lot more feral. Perhaps he's been struggling to contain the Satsui no Hado and prevent himself from becoming Oni, perhaps giving himself a level of sympathy to Ryu for ''his'' struggles prior to [=SF6=].

* '''Karin:''' A very popular character from ''V'' and ''Alpha''; there's also a big gap between her last appearance and this game that could be used to build on what she's been up to. Maybe the Kanzuki brand has been expanded or faltered and that carries her progression.
