It is a possibility. While we never actually get to see another version of Tachyon, or even a mention of him, it's possible that he, or she, was waiting for the right moment to rise up and searches for Rivet. Thus, could lead to a spinoff being somewhat similar to RatchetAndClankFutureToolsOfDestruction.

His defeat isn’t quite a definite death, and it’d be easy to come up with an explanation for how he survived. He also has every reason to stay in Ratchet & Clank’s universe, since not only would he be ruthlessly hunted down if he returned to his own but he probably has a ''massive'' vendetta against the two for giving him one of his first defeats. Besides, what would Ratchet and Clank be without a Nefarious to fight?
