** Here's an idea of what would happen if she did: The fanbase would be highly [[BaseBreaker divided]], one side being happy that there is proof Rainbow Dash isn't a lesbian and supporting the new canon RD pairing, another screeching about how RD having a boyfriend "ruins her character" and that Hasbro is homophobic and giving in to the demands of MoralGuardians, and a third bombarding RD's LoveInterest with DieForOurShip and RonTheDeathEater for "getting in the way" of their RD pairings (considering that she's a LauncherOfAThousandShips). However, if Rainbow's boyfriend is likable enough and their relationship is believable, the majority of the fandom might support it. Either way, ShipToShipCombat is bound to ensue.

2012 is the 30 year anniversary of the ''MyLittlePony'' franchise, so they might take some time off from the show to do something to celebrate like a movie.

Lauren Faust mentioned that adventure stories are harder to plot. Could season three be shorter because it's a season long adventure serial?
