* And the wish will be granted. This guess is based on a few hints early in the story: When god Kubera asked her what she would wish for if a god asked her, Leez jokingly says riches, because "even a god couldn't give her what she really wanted", ie, her village. But if some god, who had reason to feel gratitude, or guilt because they've screwed up her life forever by starting the man-hunt on her name and making sure her dad got killed... Like, say, Vishnu, asked Kubera in all seriousness for what she wanted... Well. When Asha got the opportunity to ask for a wish, she asked for power, instead of her village back, which was something Vishnu commented on. [[Foil Kubera is not like Asha]]. It makes sense from a story perspective, and for Leez, it's the happiest ending. Vishnu did promise that Leez would "grow to be happier than anyone". But even more than that, there is actual foreshadowing: When Lorraine went to Leez' village with her death-count machine, it said zero. No people had died. She assumed it was a mistake, but Vishnu is a god of time. What if, to fulfill Leez' wish in the future, he transports the entire village from the past to the future, right before the attack? Maruna's attack is so destructive, there's no obvious bodies left behind anyway, so he wouldn't notice the difference, nor would anyone else... Except for Lorraine's machine, apparently. What works against this theory, is Leez' dream in chapter 5, where Leez sees everyone from the village, and Leez' mom says "she has no place in her future", unlike Haaz and Kas, who were spared from the attack. Kubera didn't know Haaz and Kas were spared, so clearly the dream was supernatural. We're to presume they died, but "no place in Leez' future" [[ExactWords doesn't mean they're dead]], just that they're never gonna hang out anymore. Of course, it should leave a bitter feeling, to wish for them back, only to realize she couldn't be with them anyway, but this is [[TheHero Leez]] we're talking about. Even knowing it won't change anything, she'll wish for it, and will just be happy knowing that they're safe and happy somewhere out there.

[[WMG: Someone, either Leez or Yuta, is going to use the Sword of Return to open a gate by the end of Season II.]]
* It's already been stated that the Sword is capable of such a feat, at least in Yuta's hands, and given the presence of a gate between realms in one of the preview images for the season, there is a chance that said gate will be opened using said Sword. Given that Yuta and Leez (and God Kubera) are currently capable of wielding the Sword, they would be the ones most likely to exploit its ability, though for what purpose can range from getting somewhere to bringing in someone from one of the other realms.

Furthermore, humans were until recently finally learning to cope with a world without gods to guide them. In fact, that devastated clan aside, most of the other clans seem to have found themselves heavily weakened since their own respective heydays. What superior sura are in the human realm are for the most part not Nastika, with the actual Nastika present weakened to varying extents, leaving them vulnerable. It is a similar situation with the two Astika currently in the human realm. [softreturn] Meanwhile, on the human front, things have not quite returned to how they used to be. Due to Agni's relative lack of action, the humans are likely to respond to threats on their own, and the upcoming battle at Rindhallow likely will see the magicians presently on Aeroplateau playing an important part. On a more social note, with discrimination against Halfs rampant, and superior sura mostly absent, in the long-term, Halfs (and perhaps Quarters) should become a smaller proportion of the overall human population. [softreturn] With humans becoming more proactive, and the presence of the sura clans limited thus far within their realm, it is likely that Visnu foresaw humans moving beyond the gods and magic as it is by necessity, while giving the humans just enough breathing room to adapt accordingly. In addition, the presence of Yuta might spur development of defense mechanisms less reliant on magic, as humans would otherwise find themselves sitting ducks if more Chaos clan members entered the human realm, in turn perhaps inspiring the development of other forms of technology that do not require magic to function. [softreturn] Perhaps by the end of the series, all this will contribute to a world more similar to our own, [[LegendFadesToMyth where gods and sura are legends from the past]], technology works just fine without any sort of applied magic, and humans are forced to brave a universe where their own greatest enemies are themselves.

[[WMG:Visnu's endgame is a world less reliant on gods.]]
* We know that after the Cataclysm, both the gods and superior sura found themselves cut off from the human realm, and that magic, which comes from borrowing power from the gods, is not what it once was. Any gods and Nastika are also unable to use their full power in the human realm due to the rules of summoning and the ban on transformations (Gandharva's case notwithstanding). Furthermore, humans were until recently finally learning to cope with a world without gods to guide them. [softreturn] [[TheMagicComesBack Recent events however, have seen the return of not only superior sura and gods to the human realm, but also the use of Chaos magic and the continued rise of the
associated clan.]] With the clan of Chaos growing stronger, other sura clans could soon find themselves risking of the fate of the Gandharva clan.

** Alternately, Visnu's comments about everything being a matter of what choices are made might actually tie into the hard decisions Gandharva has had to make regarding three particular characters. The first was the time when he was unable to protect Menaka, which was allegedly due to Gandharva being indecisive about some matter. Given that this may have been connected to how Shakuntala was kidnapped by the gods, it could be that Gandharva was placed into the difficult position of choosing between the great love of his life and the child who brought him happiness. Perhaps, as with later on, Gandharva found himself making his decision too late, and while Shakuntala was kept alive, he still lost Menaka, in short, he wound up choosing the source of his happiness over the person he loved romantically. Later on, he is forced into another difficult decision, when he is forced to choose between letting Teo die or giving up on his best chance of getting to Shakuntala. Once again, he is slow to decide, but here, he chooses to save Teo. Perhaps then, his friendship that transcends races might actually be with the potential friend he chose over the source of his happiness.

[[WMG: Visnu's description of Gandharva's three boons was given in chronological order.]]
* Visnu often reveals hints of the future through riddles and roundabout descriptions, and his talk with Gandharva was no different. He brought up love, then happiness, and then friendship, in that very order. This is because those three things will or have arrived in that particular order. Assuming that Menaka is indeed that source of "wondrous love," then Shakuntala is indeed the source of "remarkable happiness," leaving one last candidate.
** Taking this a step further, not only is the order chronological, but it also hints at the causal relationship among them. Menaka was the source of love, and this relationship in turn brought about the birth of Shakuntala, who, as the one being capable of loving Gandharva without any agenda or conditions, was the source of his greatest happiness. Menaka's influence and Shakuntala in turn caused Gandharva to mellow considerably, causing Agni, who originally saw Gandharva merely as an enemy, as a potential ally and friend.

* Having a divine affinity of 0 is practically unheard of for a pureblood human, but Leez isn't just ''any'' human - she has the Name of a god. Gods don't use magic, because magic is defined in this series as "borrowing power from a god", and why would they need to borrow magic from themselves? They just use transcendental skills instead - something that Leez is capable of, having an extremely high transcendental value.

boons.]]
*
Visnu stated in the past that Gandharva's name would bring him wondrous love, remarkable happiness, and friendship that transcends races. While Gandharva believed these three things to be Menaka, Shakuntala, and Visnu, it is heavily implied that Gandharva's guesses were erroneous to some extent. While the most popular choice for said friendship is Agni, why not take things a step further? Why not have it so that said third person is actually Leez?

Leez? [softreturn] There are two premises to this reasoning, one slightly nuttier than the other. Now granted, this is a really shallow and nonsensical reason for thinking this way, but assuming that Gandharva got the first two right, it is telling that his wife and daughter were both green-haired females. Why break the streak at two when there's a perfectly good candidate who fulfills this set of qualifications?

qualifications? [softreturn] The second premise is based more around wordplay, and thus slightly less silly. Leez is a human with the Name of an Astika and a possible connection to Ananta. What is this if not a transcending of race in the greatest possible way?

* We know that after the Cataclysm, both the gods and superior sura found themselves cut off from the human realm, and that magic, which comes from borrowing power from the gods, is not what it once was. Any gods and Nastika are also unable to use their full power in the human realm due to the rules of summoning and the ban on transformations (Gandharva's case notwithstanding). Furthermore, humans were until recently finally learning to cope with a world without gods to guide them.

[[WMG: Visnu's endgame is a world less reliant on gods]]
* We know that after the Cataclysm, both the gods and superior sura found themselves cut off from the human realm, and that magic, which comes from borrowing power from the gods, is not what it once was. Any gods and Nastika are also unable to use their full power in the human realm due to the rules of summoning and the ban on transformations (Gandharva's case notwithstanding). Furthermore, humans were until recently finally learning to cope with a world without gods to guide them.

[[TheMagicComesBack Recent events however, have seen the return of not only superior sura and gods to the human realm, but also the use of Chaos magic and the continued rise of the associated clan.]] With the clan of Chaos growing stronger, other sura clans could soon find themselves risking of the fate of the Gandharva clan.

Meanwhile, on the human front, things have not quite returned to how they used to be.

With humans becoming more proactive, and the presence of the sura clans limited thus far within their realm, it is likely that Visnu foresaw humans moving beyond the gods and magic as it is by necessity, while giving the humans just enough breathing room to adapt accordingly. In addition, the presence of Yuta might spur development of defense mechanisms less reliant on magic, as humans would otherwise find themselves sitting ducks if more Chaos clan members entered the human realm, in turn perhaps inspiring the development of other forms of technology that do not require magic to function.

Perhaps by the end of the series, all this will contribute to a world more similar to our own, [[LegendFadesToMyth where gods and sura are legends from the past]], technology works just fine without any sort of applied magic, and humans are forced to brave a universe where their own greatest enemies are themselves.

!Theories for Webcomic/Kubera:

* It's already been stated that the Sword is capable of such a feat, at least in Yuta's hands, and given the presence of a gate between realms in one of the preview images for the season, there is a chance that said gate will be opened using said Sword. Given that Yuta and Leez (and God Kubera) are currently capable of wielding the Sword, they would be the ones most likely to exploit its ability, though for what purpose can range from getting somewhere to bringing in someone from one of the other realms.

[[WMG: Yuta's real name is Kali]]
* Kali gave her name to Yuta when he was born. She disappeared soon after because gods' existences are tied to their name. However, Yuta hasn't grown into his name, so Kali magic disappeared with his mother.
** He doesn't have Kali's memory since it was specifically implanted into Taraka.

Given the rather expansive backstory and large number of mysteries throughout the current plot, it is only inevitable that tropers reading ''Webcomic/Kubera'' should come up with speculations of varying degrees of insanity. All Wild Mass Guesses about Currygom's series belong here.
