Activision; afterwards, Nick would grant video game licenses to different publishers on a case-by-case basis instead of granting a single publisher a blanket license to all of their series as was done with Activision and Creator/{{THQ}} before them.

An action HackAndSlash video game based on the fictional ninja team the Franchise/TeenageMutantNinjaTurtles, developed by Creator/PlatinumGames and published by Creator/{{Activision}}. It was released for UsefulNotes/PlayStation3, UsefulNotes/PlayStation4, PC, UsefulNotes/Xbox360, and UsefulNotes/XboxOne on May 24, 2016.

At night atop the TCRI building Krang and Shredder meet on the skyscraper's helipad to confirm that everything is in place for their alliance towards an unspecified goal. At a gesture from Shredder, hundreds of Foot Clan soldiers descend upon the city, starting a titanic crime wave that throws the city into chaos. In their Lair deep beneath the streets, the Turtles discuss the crime wave with Splinter and April O'Neil, concluding that they are honor bound to protect the city and head out to do just that though Michelangelo is still in the middle of some pizza he feels similarly 'honor bound' to finish off. While patrolling the rooftops, the Turtles notice Foot Soldiers sneaking around the Purple Dragons' territory and head to the streets to investigate the anomaly and clear out the rival ninjas.

Less than eight months after its release, the game was removed from sale from all digital storefronts on January 3, 2017. This is the last ''Teenage Mutant Ninja Turtles'' game and the last Nickelodeon game to be published by Activision.

!! This game provides examples of:
* BatPeople: The boss of Level 6 is Wingnut, a monstrous anthropomorphic bat. He is implied to be an alien in this version, riding a UFO in his boss fight.
* BombDisposal: A recurring element in the game are timed segments where the turtles have to diffuse bombs set by the Foot. The more turtles doing the disarming at a time, the faster it is.
* BrooklynRage: While less noticeable than other iterations, Raphael has a mild Brooklyn twang to his speech.
* CelShading: The game has a cel-shaded art-style, giving it a comic book aesthetic.
* ChainsawGood: Bebop's primary weapon is a chainsaw.
* DropTheHammer: Rocksteady's weapon is a giant hammer.
* HulkSpeak: This version of Slash is portrayed as a mindless thug, his speech very simplistic.
--> '''Slash''': Foot bad.
* MissionControl: April O'Neil acts as this for the majority of the game, beaming in instructions to the turtles via t-phone.
* MythologyGag: While this April O'Neil is meant to be based off of her [[ComicBook/TeenageMutantNinjaTurtlesIDW IDW comic book]] counterpart, her design is very similar to the [[WesternAnimation/TeenageMutantNinjaTurtles2012 2012 animated April]], her hair tied back in a ponytail, a yellow t-shirt and prominent freckles on her face.
* SophisticatedAsHell: When Michelangelo winds up not getting any pizza while the rest of his family take all the slices, no one is sympathetic. Even Splinter.
