One day in a faraway galaxy called the Atlas System, the ship Equinox was ambushed by the Forgotten Legion and crash landed on a nearby planet causing the ship's captain to get kidnapped by Grax, the leader of the Forgotten Legion who wants to harness the technology the captain has to take over the whole galaxy. That is the premise set in ''Starlink: Battle for Atlas''. Announced by Creator/{{Ubisoft}} in 2018, the game is a third-person action adventure game set in the Atlas system. It is up to the player to move freely across the system and form alliances with different species of aliens. Each species changes the game's world as well as the gameplay experience. Ships are able to fly through the air of planets as well as skim their surface and are fully customizable with different parts that make them act differently.

The game is not just a game, but also a toys-to-life experience. The player has the option of buying special toys that attach to a special controller mount and instantaneously transform the ship in game. The game will release in October, 2018 for UsefulNotes/NintendoSwitch, UsefulNotes/Playstation4, and UsefulNotes/XboxOne. In addition the Switch version will include elements from ''Franchise/StarFox'' including characters and ships.
