* DropTheHammer: One of the many tools of mayhem you can wield is a large mallet. Unsurprisingly, its Ultra Kill involves reducing the unlucky victim's head to the approximate flatness of a pancake.

* AndYourRewardIsClothes: Reaching certain scores in the ChallengeRun levels unlocks special costumes for Naughty which modify his stats, let him walk among other bears unnoticed, and give him weapons at the start of a level.

** The other bears vary from being petty and unpleasant [[KickTheDog dog-kickers]] (Daddles, Giggles, most of the bears) to outright villains ([[MadScientist Episode 6 Fluffy]], [[DealWithTheDevil Episode 10 Stardust]]), so it's pretty hard to feel bad for them when Naughty goes on a rampage.

[[spoiler:After the bears KickTheDog one time too many in the ending sequence, Naughty responds by launching an RPG into their cabin (killing everyone again) before returning to his hut.]]

** The intro to the Friendly Challenge features a bear blowing a raspberry in Naughty's face, with Naughty visibly becoming more and more angry (complete with [[HighPressureEmotion a kettle whistling]]) until he hits the RageBreakingPoint and draws back a fist to punch the bear. Instead of doing so, however, he simply grabs the bear and drags them over to the toilet to drown them.

* BigBrotherIsWatching: One level starts with Naughty discovering the VictimOfTheWeek is strapping cameras to the heads of birds in order to spy on him. Even the name of the level, ''Big Ted Is Watching'', sort of tips one off.

* DiminishingReturnsForBalance: The points awarded for a naughty deed decrease each time it's done, until you eventually receive zero points for it. This prevents Naughty from gaining excessive points through simply vandalising items or breaking windows, and resets with each area.

** [[spoiler:The bears' KickTheDog moment at the end ''after'' Naughty went out of his way to save them all from the [[AliensAreBastards invading alien-bears]] audibly disgusts him, and he seems legitimately concerned for Naughty's emotional state after they KickTheDog and reject him yet again.]]

to:

* GoodOldFisticuffs: Executing somebody unarmed is no harder Naughty can beat TheUndead, trained soldiers, and even straight-up superheroes to death with his bare hands, though it takes much longer than with using a weapon.

to:

* GroinAttack: The landmine's Ultra-Kill sequence features Naughty Bear can kick other bears kicking the trapped bear in the crotch... or whack crotch, causing them there with an axe during a kill animation. It to fall over, trigger the landmine and explode. Strangely, this even works on robots.with the Robo-Bears. The axe's kill animation also features him driving the axe's blade into their stomach/crotch region, then kicking their dead body over.

* HarderThanHard: The Top Hat Challenge is intentionally designed as this - all bears have guns (from standard revolvers to {{Ray Gun}}s) and higher health, while the point thresholds for each cup are increased.

* HarmlessElectrocution: Subverted; all the bears can be electrocuted by tampering with an item [Arcade machine, Conveyor belt computer, DJ booth, Power supply, TV] and shoving them into the exposed wires while they attempt to repair it.

* KickTheSonOfABitch: Naughty is often killing the other bears, but considering how nastily the bears treat him ([[UngratefulBastard even after he saves them from their own mistakes]]), it's hard to feel sorry for them. [[spoiler:After the incident with the party above, Naughty responds by launching an RPG into their cabin (killing everyone again) before returning to his hut.]]

* LeaveNoSurvivors: The Killer Challenge's gimmick - Naughty has to kill every other bear in the level, including anyone who shows up due to a phone call. A bear escaping means an instant GameOver.

** [[spoiler: Reaching HundredPercentCompletion unlocks a sequence in which Naughty seemingly suffers from one, dreaming that he's a Unibear having his horn cut off by Daddles. Dream-Naughty abruptly awakes and begins to advance on a suddenly-fearful Daddles, only for him to trip and awake in the real world as regular Naughty. * ChallengeRun:
** Beating the main "story" level unlocks four "challenge" versions of it, which you can then beat to unlock new costumes and reach HundredPercentCompletion.
*** [[LeaveNoSurvivors Killer Challenge]]: ExactlyWhatItSaysOnTheTin. Every bear on the level has to die, not just the [[ArcVillain episode villain]], and no-one can be allowed to escape. If the bears manage to call for help, the poor schmucks answering their call have to die as well.
*** [[PacifistRun Friendly Challenge]]: Don't fight them! You're not allowed to strike, shoot, or SetAMookToKillAMook -- doing so means an instant loss. However, traps, super-scaring an insane bear [[DrivenToSuicide into suicide]], or [[FinishingMove ultra-killing]] a bear wounded by a trap are all fine.
*** [[DrivenToMadness Insanity Challenge]]: Drive them all mad! Killing a bear who hasn't gone insane is an instant failure, as is [[SetAMookToKillAMook letting non-insane bears kill each other]], but once they're insane it's open season on the poor, deranged sods.
*** [[OneHitPointWonder Untouchable Challenge]]: Naughty's health is limited to the absolute minimum, turning all attacks into {{One Hit Kill}}s. Other than that, the level plays as normal. Better be good at dodging!
*** [[DontLookAtMe Invisible Challenge]]: Don't be seen doing naughty deeds. If you get spotted five times, it's an instant GameOver, so pack your best costume and sabotage everything you can get your hands on.
*** [[TimedMission Speed Run Challenge]]: Complete the main level's objectives while on a time limit. Fast costumes and frozen multiplier bars are your greatest friends here, as they'll let you hit the score needed to open the next area quicker.
*** [[HarderThanHard Top Hat Challenge]]: This is going to be painful. All the bears have beefed-up health and wield powerful {{Ray Gun}}s rather than their usual weapons, as well as sporting rather stylish top hats. Your goal is to find the story mode antagonist (identified by a snazzier, unique top hat) and kill them.
