* PartingFromConsciousnessWords: A pretty on-the-nose example halfway through the game: Alexander encounters Devlin [[DrowningMySorrows drowning his sorrows]] and lamenting Juliet's declining health, and as he holds up a pair of keys to his bookstore, he only speaks out how "it's all... slipping from my grasp..." before blacking out and [[LiteralMetaphor dropping the keys]] for you to take.

* PowerFloats: Only seen with Juliet when she's turned into a vampire. When Devlin mourns her in her crypt after she's buried, Juliet appears before him and [[GhostlyGlide glides across the floor rather than walk]] when approching him. Once Alexander, Johnathan and Van Helsing ward her back, they reach her coffin just in time to see her lowering herself back into it from the air.

** Alexander has his moments, most notably when he bungles up the simple task of guarding Juliet and Annisette by falling asleep and letting Dracula get to them. Though in that case it's implied Dracula used his power to cause him to go to sleep (You can see the mist under the door as he's looking after them). It's also implied this happened to others, since Van Helsing also chews them out for falling asleep.

vampire. The arrests aren't really a death, but they will take up valuable time and on the PC version, they just randomly happened and if you saved your game -- you could just reload to avoid it. [[spoiler: The crazy man scene is almost avoidable, if you go to the Newsstand, Pub, Bookstore, and then the Asylum. Also, avoid the bookstore during Day 4, because that's when another madman tries to kill you -- but he ends up dying and you get knocked out for eight hours. The exhaustion scene won't happen unless you stay up for over 48 hours and avoid the sleeping scenes, including falling asleep at Anisette's. I love the acting of that scene, but you actually have to do it on purpose to get the scene though. There are only three vampire bite death scenes: Anisette on Day 1 (if you don't give her the necklace) or Day 4 (if you avoid going back to Anisette's before midnight); Juliet on Day 4 (if you don't stake her before 8:00pm); and Dracula on Day 4 (if you wait until 7:00am on "Day 5" or forget to visit the Hades Club in the afternoon to find the secret passage. There is a fourth vampire bite death I just remembered: Go to the graveyard between 6:00pm and 8:00pm on Days 2 and 3 and Alexander decides to sit down and meditate and the Bloofer Lady shows up all angry and attacks. There is also the infamous (and funny) scene if Alexander goes to the graveyard on Day 4 after 5:00pm without the stake and mallet and Vampire Juliet grabs Alexander by the throat and hisses. Oh yeah, and Dracula can pull Alexander's heart out of his chest, if he doesn't have the cross.]]

If you wait until after 2:30am, Jonathan is killed by Dracula at the Holmwood Home. If you wait after 3:30am, Van Helsing and Mina are dead at the Harker Home with Mina bitten dry and Van Helsing getting a stake through his heart. All these movies can be seen before going to the Hades Club at their respective times. The winning videos then can be all alive, all but Seward, all but Seward and Jonathan, and only Alexander and Anisette.]]
