It's blatant self-indulgent twaddle, but that's the fun of it, y'know? It comes with the territory of a story driven ask blog, especially one that started so early in the fandom. Yeah, it's Cringe(TM), but I still have avatars and post video examples of it because I'm on a wiki all about nerd shit. We can't act like we aren't all at least a little cringe (affectionate). ...Still wish [[spoiler:Chasriel]] [[NoYay wasn't implied]] in Drop Down Town though. The ShipTease is thankfully nowhere near as blatant as it was with earlier pairings, and Drop Down Town is pretty late in the comic, but it does make [=AFAC=] a bit hard to recommend to people who could've dealt with the cheese. That said, I don't really read this anymore. I had a brief phase of entry pimping it in early 2022, and I do occasionally still add stuff for it, but after reading better fanfics with more substance and better characterization, returning to this one kind of feels like having a microwave dinner after eating at a 5 star restaurant.

If you want an ''Undertale'' ask blog, [[https://www.tumblr.com/realmettatonofficial go check out this ask blog cinematic universe thing]] (despite the name, it's not actually done by Toby Fox or his team). It's not only funi, but occasionally it has story arcs as well (something about a dead dad? Idfk. I've only just started). While it does dabble in shipping occasionally, it still keeps everyone in-character. It's not cheesy like [=AFAC=] is because it's just about the characters running their own ask blogs at the end of the day. Go give it a read!

* {{Jump Scare}}: This is a really lazy way to scare your audience. While the image used in the jump scare is often scary by itself, you're not really accomplishing anything by only startling your audience. You need to rely on stuff like suspense, jump scares get old fast.

* {{Sensory Abuse}}: I ''hate'' this one, I don't get why it pops up so much in Website/{{YouTube}} videos (even some [=YouTubers=] who I like watching are guilty of using this). Is it meant to be a joke or something? Unless it's supposed to be funny because of emphasis or something the same way {{Large Ham}} is, I don't see the appeal of suddenly making the sound in your video obnoxiously loud. All that does is hurt your viewers' ears.
