A manga adaptation is also announced but by Takashi Shiina of ''Anime/GhostSweeperMikami'' and ''Manga/PsychicSquad'' fame instead of Takahashi herself (though she made official promotional art of the series).

** The English dub sees back the principals of the main cast from ''Inuyasha'', which includes Creator/RichardIanCox as Inuyasha, Kira Tozer as Kagome,[[note]]Tozer originally took the place of Kagome's original voice actress, Moneca Stori, in ''The Final Act''[[/note]] Creator/DavidKaye as Sesshomaru,[[note]]who had been Darrin'd for ''The Final Act''[[/note]] Brenna O'Brien as Rin, Creator/JillianMichaels as Shippo, Creator/KellySheridan as Sango, and Creator/KirbyMorrow as Miroku.[[note]]Up until Morrow's sudden death.[[/note]] Creator/CathyWeseluck also reprises her role as Kagome's mother. Similarly to the Japanese example above, Kikyo's English voice actor Willow Johnson voices the Spirit of the Tree of Ages.

* CrossRegionalVoiceActing: The English dub was produced by Bang Zoom! in Los Angeles, where most of the roles were recorded. However, all previous ''[=InuYasha=]'' dubs were produced by Creator/TheOceanGroup in Vancouver, and a separate studio was rented there to allow many of the original actors to reprise their roles.[[note]]David Kaye and Jillian Michaels, who voiced Sesshomaru and Shippo respectively, had relocated to Los Angeles anyway.[[/note]]

* CrossRegionalVoiceActing: The English dub provides a rare anime example, with most of the new roles performed by Los Angeles voices and the returning cast by the Creator/TheOceanGroup's stable of actors like the previous series based in Vancouver.

* TheOriginalDarrin: In the English dub, Creator/DavidKaye returns as Sesshomaru after he was replaced by Creator/MichaelDaingerfield in the English dub of ''The Final Act'' due to the former moving to Los Angeles.
