Old Shame is now IUEO, Trivia can't be played with

* CreatorBacklash: Richard Devon (Satan) did not enjoy making the film as he thought the script was terrible, his scenes were difficult to shoot (Corman used a bee-smoker which created a "dreadful-smelling fog" that choked the cast and crew) and recalled Creator/RogerCorman losing his temper over minor miscues by the crew (once, Devon received a draft copy of the script which left out his dialogue and ''Corman'' became furious over it). He praised his costars by saying "everybody that was on the show was quite professional and they really tried" but that "everything was against them as far as the dialogue was concerned."

** Averted with Mel Welles, who considered Smolkin one of his favorite roles for Corman. Pamela Duncan (Helene) enjoyed the film and unlike Devon praised Corman's behavior on set, although she admitted to not being thrilled with her execution scene where [[EnforcedMethodActing a real ax was used in place of a prop]].

Added DiffLines:

* FollowTheLeader: The movie was originally inspired by the (allegedly) nonfiction book ''The Search for Bridey Murphy'', which recounted a housewife claiming to be reincarnated from a 19th Century Irishwoman.
