** The second most viewed rip is the SeriesFauxnale medley, "Title Theme and Ending - 7 Grand Dad". Most rips have a thumbnail that stays on screen for the entirety of the video, with a song playing in the background that has some sort of minor edit, but "Title Theme" is actually a little music video with sprites of Grand Dad, Nozomi and Loud Nigra traveling through various locales inspired by many of the channel's running jokes, accompanied with a RepriseMedley.

** Besides the countless "high quality rips" from those who aren't channel contributors, there's also a handful of channels based off the same concept. ** Besides the countless "high quality rips" from those who aren't channel contributors, there's also a handful of channels based off the same concept. There's concept.
*** One of the very first was
[[https://www.youtube.com/channel/UCk8uORkwM6prnfmK2Blpfnw/videos BrawiBRSTMs3]], parodying actual music uploader [[VideoGame/SuperSmashBros Brawl]][[GameMod BRSTMs3]].
*** Later examples tend to mess with the letters of "[=SiIvaGunner=]" in various ways. One of the most popular in this category is
[[https://www.youtube.com/channel/UCSlOTb7kDOH5mpJpoFO3b0Q/videos BrawiBRTSMs3]], and [[https://www.youtube.com/channel/UCIAJnlYsz5e0D_OGeTu6hhg/videos Dinkieberg]], parodying [[VideoGame/SuperSmashBros Brawl]][[GameMod BRSTMs3]] and [[WesternAnimation/TheFairlyOddParents Dinkleberg]], respectively, and also the more blatantly named [[https://www.youtube.com/channel/UC-w33VcT3DwBvkhcy5uiWUg/videos SilvaGunner]]. com/channel/UCyIOZ0aXWJjCfR3A4HcxLdg BIizzaStunner]]. ** Ambassador Foxx, one of the streamers behind the ''[[VideoGame/PaRappaTheRapper PaRappa the Rapper 2]]'' [[https://www.youtube.com/watch?v=mGlCGMm8Qag "chinese" video]], approves of the video being referenced in rips.

** Possibly [[SubvertedTrope subverted]] with [[https://www.youtube.com/channel/UCi4OiMrdG38C_qNcQtUzwgg/featured AMUNO]], who's videos were used as jokes in a few rips. AMUNO seems to be angry at Silva stealing his videos, if his comment at the end of the video used in [[https://youtu.be/Tw9W0mFwdI4?t=7m10s Opening: Super Smash Bros. Melee]] is any indication. It's likely because instead of altering the video for a joke pertaining to the original song, Silva merely posts the video virtually unaltered. [[DoubleSubversion On the other hand,]] the [[FakeOutOpening Fake Out Opening]] also exists in the [[https://youtu.be/U0w4_zT6Ros original video]], and "silvan gunner" is mentioned under the special thanks, so whether or not Silva is *actually* stealing videos or this is all a planned-out joke is unknown.
** A few voice actors and people famous in the Newgrounds community, including Chris "Kirbopher" Niosi and Creator/KiraBuckland (aka Rina-Chan), who even voiced Umi Sonoda in the English dub of Franchise/LoveLive, [[http://tvtropes.org/pmwiki/pmwiki.php/Main/ParodyAssistance helped work on the rip of]] [[https://www.youtube.com/watch?v=6cn9ewsm8pg "Agent Yoru o Yuku"]] from VideoGame/TheIdolmaster.
* BlackSheepHit: The [[https://www.youtube.com/watch?v=-tvs8a_hOQo rip of We Are Number One]] is the most viewed video on the channel, despite that the "video game" in question doesn't even exist.
* ColbertBump:
** Mr. Rental, the obscure mascot for the Australian rental company of the same name, was given the spotlight in a few rips.
** The channel also gave ''WesternAnimation/TheNutshack'' much more exposure than it deserves.
** Some "rips" come from games that are rather unknown or obscure.
* CreativeDifferences: Triple-Q, one of the more well-known contributors to the channel, was unceremoniously let go from the contributors, as the others felt that his submissions [[https://twitter.com/TripleKyun/status/743656203218092032?replies_view=true&cursor=AADVR8b_UQo wasn't of high enough quality]].
* CreatorBacklash:
** Since the ending of the reboot ARG, the Siiva team has made several mocking remarks about it as well as fans obsessed with "lore".
** The "bean flagging" incident didn't help matters. It even managed to get to the point where all the rips from 9/11 were removed due to some people threatening to flag them for offensive content. Luckily, they were all re-uploaded on Flustered Fernando.
* {{Defictionalization}}: Many fans tried their hand at creating ''[[https://www.youtube.com/watch?v=hTBnJ3wqtZ0 Grand Dad Mania]]'' even before [[VideoGame/GrandDadMania it was announced to be a real game.]]
* DoingItForTheArt: The team is making no money off the channel. Nothing's monetized, they don't have a crowdfunding campaign, and all Bandcamp albums are free, with any proceeds made going to the account's free download credits, and undisclosed charities.
* FanNickname: The channel is sometimes referred to as "[=GiivaSunner=][=/=][=SiivaGunner=]" for clarity's sake (and sometimes further abbreviated to "Giiva" or "Siiva").
* FanworkBan: The channel accepts and posts a wide variety of rips submitted by the fans, but the contributors also keeps a list of content that isn't accepted. Some are due to concern for copyright strikes (see ScrewedByTheLawyers). Others, such as the ''Film/SpaceJam'' theme, the ''Series/TheFreshPrinceOfBelAir'' theme and "All-Star" by Music/SmashMouth are due to being cliché memes and thus magnets for low-quality rips.
* FollowTheLeader:
** Besides the countless "high quality rips" from those who aren't channel contributors, there's also a handful of channels based off the same concept. There's [[https://www.youtube.com/channel/UCk8uORkwM6prnfmK2Blpfnw/videos BrawiBRSTMs3]], [[https://www.youtube.com/channel/UCSlOTb7kDOH5mpJpoFO3b0Q/videos BrawiBRTSMs3]], and [[https://www.youtube.com/channel/UCIAJnlYsz5e0D_OGeTu6hhg/videos Dinkieberg]], parodying [[VideoGame/SuperSmashBros Brawl]][[GameMod BRSTMs3]] and [[WesternAnimation/TheFairlyOddParents Dinkleberg]], respectively, and also the more blatantly named [[https://www.youtube.com/channel/UC-w33VcT3DwBvkhcy5uiWUg/videos SilvaGunner]]. The OG Gilva sums it up in [[http://i.imgur.com/dUFN1pJ.png this]] tweet.
** [[https://www.youtube.com/user/IamNCortex/videos This channel]] seems to aspire to be the Russian version of [=GiivaSunner=]. Notably, it uses the main theme of ''Series/HappyTogether'' as a running gag.
** On a separate note, thanks to the channel's spread of 7 GRAND DAD plus the reboot replacing memes, various spin-offs of Joel's reaction to GRAND DAD have surfaced, starting with [[https://youtu.be/Ph8WulyL2a8 8 GRAND MA]][[note]]which was later referenced in a Looney Tunes rip as AscendedFanon)[[/note]]. The actual crusade of making these, however, was started by the creation of [[https://youtu.be/2LEQ5DqDE1k 9 GRAND SON]]. It started getting ridiculous after [[https://youtu.be/wcokIL9PYNg 10 GRAND DAUGHTER]].
** Following [=SiIva's=] retirement, several channels have sprung up to continue making high quality rips. The most popular examples are [[https://www.youtube.com/channel/UCIXM2qZRG9o4AFmEsKZUIvQ TimmyTurnersGrandDad]] and [[https://www.youtube.com/channel/UCyIOZ0aXWJjCfR3A4HcxLdg BIizzaStunner]]
* FranchiseZombie: Despite Chaze the Chat intending to end the channel on a high note in September 2016, the Christmas Comeback Crisis, intending to just be a temporary special return, has morphed into an actual comeback continuing ''way'' past the Christmas season. According to [[https://www.youtube.com/watch?v=iMhVmUG0JN4 this rip]], which is actually a PSA from Chaze, the last episode of the Christmas Comeback Crisis fell into DevelopmentHell, but in the meantime, he and the other contributors gained a new sense of motivation to continue the channel, though with a new planned ending.
* KeepCirculatingTheTapes:
** All of his videos on the original channel (just under 1000) were condemned to this once the channel was terminated; while the new channel is reuploading them, it'll likely be some time before they're completely done. To say nothing of the rips that were ''intentionally'' deleted (usually because [[EarlyInstallmentWeirdness they didn't mesh with the channel's style]]).
** One notable example of a terminated rip is the final boss theme of ''VideoGame/Sonic3AndKnuckles'' (a remix of [[Music/{{Yes}} Round]][[Franchise/JoJosBizarreAdventure about]] using the Genesis synthesizer), which managed to reach over 60 thousand views before being taken down.
* MeaningfulReleaseDate:
** Every video posted on April 20th, 2016 (or 0'''4-20'''-16) had something to do with [[Music/SnoopDogg "The Next Episode"]] (aka "the 'Smoke Weed Everyday' song") or other weed-related songs like "Because I Got High". They were soon compiled on [[http://gilvasunner.bandcamp.com/album/7-gram-dab their own album.]]
** Every video posted on May 8th (Mothers' Day) was a "rip" of a song from the ''VideoGame/{{MOTHER}}'' series. They were also compiled onto [[https://gilvasunner.bandcamp.com/album/7-grand-mother their own album]].
** May 22nd featured rips involving the music from [[Creator/BandaiNamcoEntertainment Namco]] games in honor of ''VideoGame/PacMan'''s 36th anniversary, which were then compiled onto [[https://gilvasunner.bandcamp.com/album/765-grand-dad their own album]] the day after.
** July 11, 2016 featured several rips themed around Creator/{{Nintendo}} games that Creator/SatoruIwata contributed to (mainly ''VideoGame/EarthBound'', which he notably reprogrammed from scratch when it was stuck in a very buggy and poorly-coded state), in memory of his death from a bile duct growth exactly a year prior. "Please read the channel description" was replaced with "[[MemeticMutation Please understand]] the channel description" in the description of these rips.
** July 15, 2016 featured rips with Music/{{PSY}}'s "Gangnam Style" and "Gentleman" to celebrate the fourth anniversary of the former's release date.
** July 22, 2016 featured a glut of ''Franchise/SonicTheHedgehog'' rips in celebration of the franchise's 25th anniversary; a good number of these rips were based around SEGA's celebratory livestream and the two ''Sonic'' games that were announced during it.
** July 28, 2016 featured a large number of rips with Music/SouljaBoy to commemorate Soulja's birthday.
** September 7, 2016 had a period of about 4 hours exclusively dedicated Brazilian memes to celebrate the country's Independence Day.
** September 11, 2016 saw numerous rips with [[CrossesTheLineTwice 9/11 jokes]]... all of which were quietly removed soon after uploading.
** September 12, 2016 was spent celebrating the birthday of Kotori Minami from ''Franchise/LoveLive'' (primarily via rips related to birds[[labelnote:explanation]]"Kotori" means "little bird" in Japanese.[[/labelnote]] in some manner).
** September 13, 2016 saw numerous rips of ''[[Franchise/SuperMarioBros Mario]]'' games were uploaded,[[note]]including ''eleven different [[VideoGame/SuperMario64 Slider]] rips''[[/note]] to celebrate ''[[VideoGame/SuperMarioBros1 Super Mario Bros]]''[='=] 31st Anniversary.
** September 15, 2016 seemed to deliberately be a ''VideoGame/{{MOTHER}}'' theme day for the first anniversary of ''VideoGame/{{Undertale}}'', as a reference to Music/TobyFox's inspiration and a soft snub of the game itself... Or [[WebVideo/GameTheoryWebShow Matpat]]'s infamous "[[RunningGag Sans is Ness]]" theory. However, 40 ''Undertale'' rips were released all at once at the end of the day, giving ''VideoGame/{{Undertale}}'' its anniversary rips.
** September 19 was International Talk Like a Pirate Day, so the entire channel was decked out in pirate lingo: Long John [=SiIvaGunner=] uploaded pirate-themed "shanties" for the whole day.
** September 30th (the anniversary of the first episode of ''WesternAnimation/TheFlintstones'') saw the announcement that the channel was ending.
** January 9th ,the anniversary of the channel, saw a [[https://www.youtube.com/watch?v=RPXZq_jc4xY video]] detailing a timeline of important events in channel's history.
** January 17th saw the channel celebrating [[Franchise/LoveLive Hanayo Koizumi's]] birthday. Later however, the banner art was changed to celebrate Michelle Obama's birthday too.
** April 13, 2017 is the eight year anniversary of ''Webcomic/{{Homestuck}}'' and the rip of [[https://www.youtube.com/watch?v=G1GRBsfPQbA "Epona's Song (Extended Mix)"]] is a remix of the Homestuck song "Horschestra". Both the rip and the original song are [[ArcNumber 4 minutes, 13 seconds]] long.
** April 24, 2017 is one of the biggest channel contributor's birthday, Chaze the Chat. As of this, the channel saw an upsurge of Maroon 5 rips, which is [[CreatorsFavorite Chaze's favorite band.]]
* MilestoneCelebration: To celebrate the [=SiIvaGunner=] 1,000th video, he uploaded... [[Videogame/TheLegendOfZeldaOcarinaOfTime Fire Temple]] [[https://www.youtube.com/watch?v=dz2ifKgyey4 (Removed Version)]], which was the last video on [=GiIvaSunner=] [[AccidentalPun before his channel was removed]].
* OfficialFanSubmittedContent: The channel occasionally uploads rips that are created by the fans as opposed to the contributors. The [[https://www.youtube.com/watch?v=GGQMd-YUS5g "Main Theme]] - ''VideoGame/{{Superman 64}}''" rip is actually an instructional video on how to properly submit rips to the channel, which also includes a list of content that will not be accepted for various reasons.
* ParodyAssistance: [=GiIva=] (along with [[WebVideo/{{Vinesauce}} Joel]]) helped with the script for the fan video [[https://www.youtube.com/watch?v=cugPzge-tWA "Hotel GiIvaSunner"]].
* PromotedFanboy: A few regular contributors got their start creating unofficial "high quality rips" on sites like Soundcloud and [=YouTube=] before officially joining the team.
* ScrewedByTheLawyers: As explained by the [[https://www.youtube.com/watch?v=GGQMd-YUS5g "Main Theme - Superman 64"]] rip, some content are not allowed as base tracks on the channel due to concern for copyright strikes, including Music/{{Drake}}'s "Hotline Bling" (unless it's a cover), ''Franchise/LoveLive'' songs from 2015 onwards[[note]]for the original series, this encompasses "Dreamin' Go! Go!!" to "Moment Ring"/"Sayonara e Sayonara". Sequel series ''Anime/LoveLiveSunshine'', having begun its discography in late 2015, is effectively disbarred from the channel wholesale, inadvertly enforcing FirstInstallmentWins in the process.[[/note]] and the discographies of Music/KanyeWest and ''VideoGame/TheIdolmaster'' (for the latter, record label Columbia Japan is [[https://archive.fo/hD9X9 already notorious with the non-meme Idolmaster fanbase]] for their copyright trigger-happiness - even if it's ''Platinum Stars'' gameplay footage uploaded/streamed ''legally'' with the UsefulNotes/{{PlayStation 4}}'s built-in sharing feature!).
* TooSoon:
** Entirely averted in [[https://www.youtube.com/watch?v=8xQiupPERx8 this video]], where the song[[labelnote:*]]Music/WeirdAlYankovic's "Polkamon"[[/labelnote]] is interrupted by a copyright claim from Music/{{Prince}}... who had died earlier that day.
** Sort of Zig Zagged with his "Continue - ''WesternAnimation/FelixTheCat''" rip which was mashed up with "Puzzle Room" from ''[[VideoGame/KirbyPlanetRobobot Kirby: Planet Robobot]]''... and released about 2 days after the infamous "Puzzle Room" incident. It was ''very'' shortly unlisted, but remade private, likely to prevent controversy; mirrors are available, though, and [[https://www.youtube.com/watch?v=0TIsjsLeji8 it was put back up]] the next day.
* UnintentionalPeriodPiece: While the channel did a decent job at making rips of both old and new games, the sheer overabundance of ''VideoGame/{{Undertale}}'' rips (and rips that reference it) dates it to around the time when ''Undertale''[='=]s popularity was at a critical mass. There's also the many rips referencing gaming-related news of 2016.
* WhatCouldHaveBeen: According to the AMA on the GiIvaSunner subreddit, Tito Dick was at first supposed to be the villain of the lore. The plan for it was scrapped after The Nutshack meme was received a lot better than they anticipated.
* TheWikiRule: [[http://siivagunner.wikia.com/ Of course there would be a wiki for SiIvaGunner...]]
