* AscendedFanon: Yoshizumi originally didn't intend for Ginta and Arimi to actually get together, but fan letters gave her the idea. Additionally, it's said that the [[spoiler: "Ginta crushes on crossdressing!Yuu"]] scene was inspired by [[HoYay some Yuu/Ginta fanarts]] she saw around.

Role Reprise is for when an actor reprises a role after a significant break (i.e. five years or more). Since Marmalade Boy aired 3 years after the Handsome na Kanojo OVA, that example does not count.

* RoleReprise: Creator/SakikoTamagawa voiced Mio Hagiwara in the OVA adaptation of ''Handsome na Kanojo'' and reprises her role for her cameo appearances in ''Marmalade Boy''

* RelationshipVoiceActor:
** Chances are, if you've watched ''Manga/NintamaRantarou'', you'll be able to recognize several of the Japanese voice actors that are in both series.
** In the English dub, a majority of the cast would later play roles in ''Manga/{{Naruto}}''. For instance, Miki's two closest friends Meiko and Ginta are Sakura Haruno (Creator/KateHiggins) and Sasuke Uchiha (Creator/YuriLowenthal) respectively. Their teacher, who is also Meiko's lover, is hilariously Sasuke's brother Itachi (first voiced by Creator/SkipStellrecht). Both Higgins and Miki's voice actress, Creator/MichelleRuff, would both later become Ami Mizuno and Luna in the Viz dub for ''Manga/SailorMoon'' and ''Anime/SailorMoonCrystal''.
** The Latin American Spanish dub share some relationships with the cast, especially with the ''Anime/TenchiMuyo'' franchise. Ginta (Carlos Carvajal) and Arimi (Rosario Zamora) are Tenchi and Ryoko, while Miki (Laura Orlázabal) and Meiko (Keyros Guillen) are also Ayeka and Mihoshi in the OVA and TV series, and then there's Anju (Viviana Navarro) as Sakuya in ''Anime/TenchiInTokyo''.
** There are also similarities with the LA-Spanish dub of ''Anime/YoureUnderArrest'': Miki and Arimi are Natsumi and Miyuki, Ginta is Tokairin, Meiko is Yoriko, and Nakajima (Alejandro Trejo) is Miki's father.

* TalkingToHimself: In the English dub, Creator/SkipStellrecht voices both Namura and Satoshi, the two males closest to Meiko.

* WrittenByCastMember: Creator/TonyOliver was one of the English dub's ADR screenwriters, as well as the voices of Bill Matheson and Gen Kitahara.
