* LyingCreator: In a roundabout way. Players datamine the game and go through the files to find information on what future content. Allegedly, they found files labelled as being about Rowan's birthday in year 6. [[spoiler:The developers are aware of the practice and deliberately used it as a CodeName for the plot of killing off Rowan.]]

* WritingByTheSeatOfYourPants: The writing team has seen some changes, possibly leading to this. The story borders on KudzuPlot, with {{Aborted Arc}}s like sneaking into the ministry, and fancying Penny in the main story (likely due to fan backlash). Tulip was originally supposed to have a much larger role, but she is currently DemotedToComicRelief.

** Apparently models of Tulip have been found wearing essentially blue recolours of the three First Date dresses a female MC can choose. It is possible that the developers considered having her wear one of those to the date and letting players choose one out of the other two dresses, but ultimately all three are available to MC while Tulip appeared in First Date wearing her normal school outfit, which certainly didn't help her popularity and she was subsequently cut from Valentine's Day.

** There were files of voiced lines for Penny and Merula found back in 2018, but they were not implemented. So far, only teachers have any voiced lines.

Penny made it to a model that is nearly identical to final release, but with a golden wreath on her head instead of the crown braid.

* TheOtherDarrin: Averted; Dumbledore looks more like Creator/RichardHarris than Creator/MichaelGambon, which implies that Dumbledore really did suddenly change appearance between Harry's second and third year.
