* TheOtherDarrin: Once China Ann McClain got cast as Uma in the films, her sister Lauryn McClain took over voicing her previous role as Freddie.

** This isn't Kegan Connor Tracy's [[Series/OnceUponATime first time being in a story based on fairy tales.]] It's also rather fitting that she plays Belle, considering that her OUAT character played an essential role in the story of that show's version of The Beast.

** Fans of [[Series/OnceUponATime The Blue Fairy]] from Once Upon A Time will recognize Keegan Connor Tracy as Belle in Descendants. Apparently before getting the role of Belle, she auditioned for Maleficent, the dark fairy, instead. Fans of her character in OUAT have long speculated her as being a secretly evil master manipulator fairy in disguise. Imagine the rejoicing if she'd gotten the part.

** This Aziz character is also a bit of casting gag. The actor who played him also played in "Once Upon A Time In Wonderland", another Disney live action shared universe show, where he played the brother of (presumably) Aladdin's genie, who was the boy friend of Alice from Alice in Wonderland, who were fighting against the likes of Jafar. Perhaps his scenes were cut to not have people be confused to whether the television series and Disney film were apart of the same world. Belle's actress was also in the show as the blue fairy.

* HeyItsThatGuy:
** The obvious being Series/LivAndMaddie together is Mal while [[Series/{{Jessie}} Luke]] is Carlos. Both of them also appeared together in one episode of the former.
** Booboo Stewart may be well-remembered for his role in ''Twilight'', but he had notable guest roles in ''Kickin' It'' and ''Good Luck Charlie''.
** Sofia Carson once had a guest role in Series/AustinAndAlly.
** Creator/KristinChenoweth plays Maleficent.
** Kathy Najimy as the Evil Queen.
** The lady from the ''Red Robin'' commercials as the Fairy Godmother.
