** Jonathan and Martha Kent are voiced by Creator/DeanCain and Creator/HelenSlater, who respectively played Franchise/{{Superman}} in ''Series/LoisAndClark'' and ComicBook/{{Supergirl}} in the ''Film/Supergirl1984'' film. This is also a double Casting Gag, as they also play the Danverses in ''Series/Supergirl2015'' and the Kents serve the same role the Danverses did in both the series and comics: being Kara's adoptive parents.
** Frost's Hero Of The Month short shows her being good at math. Creator/DanicaMcKellar, her voice actress, is an accomplished mathematician.
** "Hero Of The Year" has a scene of ComicBook/HarleyQuinn showing Big Barda around. Big Barda's voice actress is Misty Lee, the wife of Harley's co-creator Creator/PaulDini.
** Two of the characters Josh Keaton voices are Steve Trevor and Hal Jordan, whose [[WesternAnimation/WonderWoman2009 iconic]] [[WesternAnimation/GreenLanternEmeraldKnights portrayals]] have both also been provided by Nathan Fillion.
** Dark Opal is voiced by Creator/SeanSchemmel, in which this casting forshadows a character that's all [[Characters/DragonBallGokuBlack dark]].

* MeaningfulReleaseDate:
** The show officially premiered on March 8, 2019, which was International Women's Day, which was fitting for a show about girl power.
** "#Frenemies", featuring both the DC Super Hero Girls and Super Villain Girls, came out on October 11, 2019, also known as International Day Of The Girl.
* TheOtherDarrin:

** Rina Hoshino voices Katana instead of Creator/StephanieSheh.
** Creator/GreyDeLisle Griffin voices Starfire instead of Creator/HyndenWalch.
* OutOfOrder:
** The episode "#Beeline" featured Harley Quinn, Catwoman, Poison Ivy, Giganta, Star Sapphire, and Livewire as all already part of a villain team as well as the Super Hero Girls being familiar with them when it first aired. Prior to this however, only Star Sapphire had been formally introduced as a villain in the show proper in [=#HateTriangle=]. Livewire, Giganta, and Catwoman make their debut as villains in "[=#ShockItToMe=]", "[=#SheMightBeGiant=]", and "[=#FightAtTheMuseum=]" respectively, all of which though aired after "#Beeline". Furthermore in "[=#FightAtTheMuseum=]", not only does Catwoman mention having just recently arrived in Metropolis from Gotham but at the end of the episode, she states she needs to find "new friends" after her encounter with the Super Hero Girls. "#Beeline" being out of order is ultimately showcased by the later aired two part episode "#Frenemies". Not only does "#Frenemies" mark Harleen just having moved to Metropolis but it also features the formation of the villain team.
** "[=#SheMightBeGiant=]" is chronologically where Bumblebee debuts her proper suit that's been upgraded from the one she wore in the premiere episodes of the show proper. This episode however aired after a number of episodes which featured Bumblebee already in her new suit.
* PlayingAgainstType:
** When it comes to DC animation, Creator/WillFriedle is generally known for voicing heroes, such as [[WesternAnimation/BatmanTheBraveAndTheBold Blue Beetle]], [[WesternAnimation/BatmanUnlimitedAnimalInstincts Nightwing]], [[Anime/BatmanNinja Red Robin]], ComicBook/GreenArrow, and even [[WesternAnimation/BatmanBeyond Batman himself]]. Here, he voices Lex Luthor.
** A lot of the characters Creator/KimberlyBrooks voices are either tough like [[WesternAnimation/StevenUniverse Jasper]], authoritative like [[WesternAnimation/VoltronLegendaryDefender Allura]], or cool and laid back like [[WesternAnimation/DocMcStuffins Surfer Girl]]. Here, she voices Bumblebee, who's reworked into being more shy and reserved unlike her other portrayals.
** Creator/JasonSpisak plays Kilowog, who is much bigger and burlier than most of the characters he's played, and has a deeper voice.
** Even ignoring that she was the previous voice of Jessica Cruz, Creator/CristinaMilizia typically voices good characters such as [[WesternAnimation/DocMcStuffins LaLa the koala]] and [[WesternAnimation/BunsenIsABeast Darcy]] , unlike Poison Ivy here.
* RecycledScript: The short that was shown in front of ''WesternAnimation/TeenTitansGoToTheMovies'', ''[=#TheLateBatsby=]'', shares its plot (Batgirl tries to meet up with her friends to fight a criminal, only to get there before them) with one of the ''WesternAnimation/SuperBestFriendsForever'' shorts.
* RefittedForSequel: Okay, it's not a sequel, but the same idea applies. Back when Lauren tried turning ''Super Best Friends Forever'' into a [[https://mobile.twitter.com/Fyre_flye/status/1104614414722859008?ref_src=twsrc%5Etfw%7Ctwcamp%5Etweetembed%7Ctwterm%5E1104614414722859008&ref_url=https%3A%2F%2Fs9e.github.io%2Fiframe%2Ftwitter.min.html%231104614414722859008 series]], she imagined a somewhat frosty dynamic between Donna and Diana. She used this dynamic here, but with Diana and Hippolyta.
* RoleReprise:
** Creator/GreyDeLisle Griffin reprises the role of Wonder Woman from the web series, ''WesternAnimation/JLAAdventuresTrappedInTime'' and the ''WesternAnimation/LegoDCComicsSuperHeroes'' movies. [[https://www.youtube.com/watch?v=r4TLDqpn_S0 She's also]] voicing Giganta (returning from the web series) and Lois Lane (the ''LEGO DC Super Hero Girls'' movies, ''WesternAnimation/JusticeLeagueDoom'', and the aforementioned JLA and Lego movies).
** Creator/TaraStrong reprises the role of Batgirl from ''WesternAnimation/SuperBestFriendsForever'', ''WesternAnimation/BatmanTheKillingJoke'', and ''WesternAnimation/TheNewBatmanAdventures'', and Raven from ''WesternAnimation/TeenTitans'' and ''WesternAnimation/TeenTitansGo''. She's also reprising her role as Harley Quinn again, of whom she's been the main voice for since 2011.
** Nicole Sullivan reprises her role as ComicBook/{{Supergirl}} from ''Super Best Friends Forever''.
** Creator/KariWahlgren takes on the role of Zatanna, having previously been the character in the video game ''VideoGame/JusticeLeagueHeroes''. She also reprises the role of [[https://mobile.twitter.com/Fyre_flye/status/1097945192009687041 Star Sapphire]] from ''WesternAnimation/YoungJustice''. [[note]] Though she only voiced her as Carol Ferris in that series. [[/note]]
** Creator/DeeBradleyBaker reprises the respective roles of Ace and Krypto from [[WesternAnimation/JusticeLeague Justice League Unlimited]] and ''WesternAnimation/BatmanTheBraveAndTheBold''.
** Creator/KeithFerguson reprises the role of Alfred from [[VideoGame/LegoBatman Lego Batman 2]] .
** Creator/PhilLaMarr reprises the role of Cyborg from ''WesternAnimation/DCSuperFriends''
* ScrewedByTheNetwork: While both WB and the official accounts give the show plenty of promotion, Cartoon Network has not done a good job with promoting it. While treated somewhat better than ''WesternAnimation/JusticeLeagueAction'' due to having better timeslots, the first season has suffered from continually shifting timeslots and, after episode 13, only airing when there's a new episode, with nary a rerun in sight outside of Boomerang on the weekends.
* ShortRunInPeru: Several of the Super Shorts were uploaded to Cartoon Network UK's Website/YouTube account ahead of their official premiere on the US ''DCSHG'' account; these shorts were not geo-fenced.
* TalkingToHimself:
** "Let Them Eat Pie" has Grey [=DeLisle=] Griffin voicing her 3 main characters of the series: Wonder Woman, Lois Lane, and Giganta.

** Creator/GreyDeLisle Griffin voices Starfire instead of Creator/HyndenWalch.
* OutOfOrder:
* PlayingAgainstType:
* RoleReprise:
* TalkingToHimself:
** "Let Them Eat Pie" has Grey [=DeLisle=] Griffin voicing her 3 main characters of the series: Wonder Woman, Lois Lane, and Giganta.
** Creator/TaraStrong voices both halves of the Barbara Gordon/Harleen Quinzel best friend duo.
* WhatCouldHaveBeen: Concept art shows Diana wearing glasses as a civilian.
