** In 2016, at the San Diego Comic-Con, Creator/KevinConroy and Creator/MarkHamill floated the idea that they could act in an AnimatedAdaptation of ''Batman: Hush''. This movie, obviously, has Creator/JasonOMara and Creator/JasonSpisak instead.
** There's also the fact that a purposed, but ultimately rejected, follow-up to ''WesternAnimation/TheBatmanVsDracula'' would've been an adaptation of ''Hush'', meaning that would've likely involved Creator/RinoRomano and Creator/KevinMichaelRichardson in the respective roles of the Dark Knight and the Clown Prince of Crime.

This caused a nightmare when the casting was announced, which wasn't helped by the credits listing both as merely "Peyton List".

* ExecutiveMeddling and WhatCouldHaveBeen: Allegedly, Hush ''was'' originally supposed to be [[spoiler:a Lazarus Pit-revived Jason Todd]], with [[spoiler:Tommy Elliott]] being exactly what he appeared - a RedHerring SacrificialLamb. Editorial supposedly got cold feet at the last minute and forbade Loeb and Lee from using [[spoiler:Jason]]. Although ''someone'' at DC clearly liked the original idea, but not in this specific context, given that [[spoiler: Jason Todd was later revived as the Red Hood for ''Under The Red Hood'']].

* WhatCouldHaveBeen: Loeb had originally planned a six-issue followup addressing dangling plot-threads like Harvey Dent's 11th-hour reformation; these plans were apparently important enough that Dent was shelved for ''three years'' afterward, only returning (and [[StatusQuoIsGod getting re-scarred]]) in ComicBook/OneYearLater.
