* A lot of anime and manga series will list their characters' favorite foods/drinks in their profiles in supplementary materials and bonus chapters in manga.

* Among the main characters of ''Anime/SenkiZesshouSymphogear'', two clearly has their trademark favorite foods: Hibiki (rice) and Chris (anpan, bread with sweet bean paste).

* Finne from ''LightNovel/EndoAndKobayashisLiveCommentaryOnTheVillainess'' likes meat as much as a {{shounen}} protagonist. In fact, she refused to be a [[SupportPartyMember priest]] because priests require occasional abstinence to meat.

* ''Manga/CaptainTsubasa'' gives us Kojiro Hyuga and his love for Coca-Cola and drinks it despite being soft drinks being bad for a sportsman like him. It also has some FridgeBrilliance into it: he was very poor when he was a kid, and he couldn't afford to drink one and now that he has a regular income and a good part of his goals are secured, he feels like he can allow himself to drink it, becoming somewhat of a ComfortFood for him.

* ''LightNovel/RestaurantToAnotherWorld'' is a story about a restaurant serving various high-quality meals to a MedievalEuropianFantasy alternate world, so it understandably has ''everybody'' that eats there get a favorite food. This story in particular takes the "trademark" park to the extreme, as not only do the customers rarely deviate from their favorite (which is always the first thing ever served to them), each and every one uses said food as an InSeriesNickname.

** Fate is particularly fond of coffee and is usually drinking some when he has a moment to himself.* Several characters in ''Manga/DeathNote'' had a special interest in certain foods:

** In ''Anime/DigimonXrosWars'', Shoutmon likes DigiNowa, a cereal-like snack packed in elongated hexagonal packages; these packages grow in clusters on trees in the Digital World.

* ''Manga/TheDisastrousLifeOfSaikiK'': We have Saiki K. and his love for coffee jelly.

* ''Manga/DetectiveConan'':
** Genta always wants eel with rice.
** Also, more than one murder centers [[TamperingWithFoodAndDrink around the victim's favorite food or drink being laced with poison.]] So far some of the poisoned foods/drinks are: lemon tea, chocolate and cream cake, rice balls, soda, cherry pie...
** In another case, a woman wants to find her long-lost FirstLove. One of the few hints she has is that he loved to eat ginger and specially ''gari'', the fresh ginger slices that are often served with sushi... [[spoiler: The boy turns out to be her [[TheButlerDidIt butler]], and she's always known it; one of the tricks she and Conan-as-Kogoro use to make him come forward is serving sushi with ''gari'' strips... guess who is the only one who eats the parts containing ''gari''?]]

He frequently winds up dining at the murderer's/victim's house and getting a free meal before the murder happens. In "Facial Mask Murder Case", he treats the group twice. The first time, it's basically going to a ramen restaurant, and then later after they solve the case, and Ran is skeptical...

** In a scene early in ''Anime/DigimonAdventure'', the children discuss their favorite things to put on eggs. Mimi grosses everyone out when she explains hers, which changes in various dubs and is never not weird. In Japanese she eats her eggs with natto (a type of fermented soybeans) and sugar; in English, her egg meal involves maple syrup, whipped cream, and a cherry; European Spanish has her eating eggs with sugar and cream; German has sugar, but also has her go for the comparatively mundane grated cheese when she wants her eggs savory; just syrup in the Brazilian Portuguese version; and in the South Korean dub, she prefers her eggs with chocolate syrup. In the Japanese version, she reiterates her love for natto in future installments. Aside from that, Mimi loves tuna-mayonnaise rice balls and goes googly-eyed in ''02'' when Miyako gives her some.
** In ''Anime/DigimonAdventure02'', Veemon's favorite food is chocolate and Hawkmon is absolutely nuts about pickled gourd rolls. Armadillomon's favorite is the ohagi Iori's mom makes, but he's just happy to have any food at all.
** In ''Anime/DigimonTamers'', bread is pretty much Guilmon's favorite. He likes it so much that Takato's parents, who own a bakery, make him special bread that is shaped like his head and named after him. At least in the dub, he also likes peanut butter a lot. In the dub, Jeri often brings up cream puffs.

** ''Anime/DigimonDataSquad's'' Agumon and Japanese style rolled fried eggs (tamagoyaki), Sayuri's if at all possible.

** In ''Anime/DigimonUniverseAppMonsters'', Gatchmon's favorite is Gatch Monaka (which are wafer bars filled with azuki bean paste); Haru Shinkai likes burgers; Rei Katsura's are energy gels; and Yuujin Oozora's is pasta.

* Mash Burnedead from ''Manga/{{Mashle}}'' loves cream puffs, to absolutely hilarious degrees. It seems he keeps at least one in his robes for snacking at all times.

* ''LightNovel/IveBeenKillingSlimesForThreeHundredYearsAndMaxedOutMyLevel'': Several characters take care to indulge the protagonist Azusa's love of omelettes, including the hotel cook at the nearby village that [[HundredPercentHeroismRating reveres her]], Azusa'a live-in apprentice, and the friendly demons who escort her to receive an award. The latter go all-out with [[SimpleYetOpulent fabulously expensive ingredients]].

** It's not played up as much as [[BigEater Cooro]], but according to the bonus material in Volume 3 the others have their favorites too:

* Urd and Skuld from ''Manga/AhMyGoddess'' can both recharge their powers via their comfort food of choice: [[GeniusSweetTooth ice cream]] for Skuld, [[HardDrinkingPartyGirl sake]] for Urd. Belldandy loves sodas, but avoids it because one sip can [[DrunkOnMilk get her roaring drunk]].

** Omaeda's introduced in the story walking behind Soifon while he munches on crackers. He's said to be constantly eating them. During the Karakura Town battle, it's revealed that he's the only lieutenant who didn't know Yamamoto's plan. The others are quick to assume that the reason he has no idea is because he was too busy stuffing his face with rice crackers to listen; Soifon encourages this belief because she doesn't want to admit that she actually forgot to tell him the plan. The anime plays this up much more than the manga does, inserting filler scenes of him eating crackers everywhere. Even his zanpakutou spirit gets annoyed by it.

** Most of the characters have their favorite foods described in their profiles: Hayato and curry rice, Asuka and cake, Shinjyo and rice balls (particularly Miki's rice balls), Osamu and Asuka's cooking (which is rather odd as Asuka's a LethalChef), Miki and rice, tea and rice crackers, Kyoko and Italian cuisine, Henri and all kinds of sweets and pastries, Clair and pie, Gudelhian and ice cream and almost all Japanese food, Heinel and kaiseki (traditional Japanese multi-course meals), Bootsvorz and anything spicy and super-sweet, Phill and his caregiver´s cooking , Leon and his mother´s stew, Marie and fish and vegetables.
* In ''Anime/GalaxyAngel'', Millefeuille loves pastries and sweets in general, Ranpha loves anything that's extremely spicy ([[LethalChef And the others dread allowing her to cook]]), Mint adores junk foods such as potato chips and jelly beans, Forte has a soft spot for Oden stew, and Vanilla will eat just about everything (Including making a literal ChewToy of Normad when starving), but prefers vegetarian dishes.

* Only in ''Manga/{{Gintama}}'' can a character consume revolting quantities of mayonaise and still be badass. Hijikata's lighter is even shaped like a mayo bottle.

** Don't forget the protagonist himself; Gintoki and chocolate parfaits, strawberry milk and pretty much [[SweetTooth any sweets]]. To the point that his parallel to Hijikata's Special consist of red bean paste on rice.

* ''Manga/GugureKokkurisan'''s Kohina loves her instant noodles, and her love for it is often used by the other characters to bribe her.

** Cuba: Ice cream (Though it may be noted that Canada and America like ice-cream, too.)

* ''Manga/{{Kekkaishi}}'''s Yoshimori has a SweetTooth, and loves to bake his own cakes.

* Bamboo shoots is the favorite food of Sei from ''VisualNovel/KoihimeMusou.'' It's almost taken to insane levels about her obssession with bamboo shoots. For example, don't [[BerserkButton insult bamboo shoots]], or eat spoiled ones without asking, or YOU WILL PAY!

* Ferris Eris of ''LightNovel/TheLegendOfTheLegendaryHeroes'' really loves dango (a type of Japanese dumpling). She asks for them as payment from Sion to help track down the person trying to kill him, and later (earlier from the audience's perspective perspective, since that happened in a flashback) refers to him as a "devil" for not paying up.

** Lime, the SlimeGirl loves lime so much that its become her nickname, her real name being TheUnpronouncable.
** Plum, the FriendlyNeighborhoodVampire is a bit embarassed to admit that her favorite food is the very fruit she was named after.

** His son, ''Manga/{{Boruto}}'', on the other hand, has a taste for burgers, to the point where he would rush to get a limited edition green chilli hamburger, on the last day it would be sold, and would sometimes carry burger discount coupons. He notes that his favorite dish are yakisoba buns, however.
** Choji loves barbecue, chips and [[BreadEggsBreadedEggs barbecue chips]].

** Yue Ayase likes odd and unusual beverages, and is almost never shown drinking the same one twice. [[PottyEmergency Might explain why she once was so desperate to go to the bathroom...]]

** An important PlotPoint in the Dressrosa Arc was Sugar's love of grapes, which she often ate off her fingers. Usopp and Robin tried giving her with one that was laced with [[BlazingInfernoHellfireSauce Tatababasco]] thinking the mega-spicy grape would knock her out, [[GenreSavvy but she was wise to them]] (well, she assumed it was poisoned), and force-fed it to Usopp. However, the intensity of the spiciness caused Usopp to make one of the largest [[TimeForPlanB horrific, anguish-induced faces]] ever, [[HoistByTheirOwnPetard to the extent that it terrified Sugar into]] '''[[HoistByTheirOwnPetard unconsciousness.]]''' Even after she recvered, she retained a fear of this and of long noses (which Usopp ''weaponized'', by attaching a drawing of him making said face to some ammo)

** Thanks to Max, chocolate has become the TrademarkFavoriteFood of Lucario, when he gave the FishOutOfTemporalWater Lucario his first chocolate bar during the eighth movie. This was referenced in a later Diamond and Pearl episode, where Jessie tried bribing Maylene's Lucario to join them with a chocolate bar.
** Ash really enjoys hamburgers (at least in the English dub), they're usually the first thing he wants when he comes across a new town. He also will never turn down ice cream, as expected with a ten-year old. [[BigEater It's really very hard to find a food that Ash doesn't like.]] As for the original, his favorite food is croquettes, confirmed by Cilan in Best Wishes!/Black & White, which would continue in Sun & Moon and Journeys.

** Speaking of pancakes, they are also the favorite of Hime in ''Anime/HappinessChargePrettyCure'' as well as Yuko's homemmade candies.

** Mars/Rei loves Fugu (a blowfish which is highly toxic and considered a delicacy in Japan).

** Choe Myeng-hwa of the Rinkai team has come to like salmon and herring roe since coming to Japan. This is slightly downplayed, because her teammates are slightly surprised to hear about that detail when the announcers talk about her.

* ''Manga/SoulHunter'': Taikoubou is particularly found of peaches, and his often seen eating one when laying back.
* The eponymous character from ''SpaceBattleshipYamamotoYohko'' likes pocky. Her Montague Counterpart similarly likes sausages of any flavor, and rice cakes; pretty much [[FreudWasRight anything phallic, really.]] That somehow hints the fact that he's [[WholesomeCrossdresser actually a girl]], but due to PhlebotinumBreakdown later, [[GenderBender she became a he]].

* Various characters in ''Anime/TomicaHyperRescueDriveHeadKidouKyuukyuuKeisatsu'' have foods they love (Gou and curry, Karigari and steak, Mikoto and pancakes), but the most notable of these is Taiga, who is regularly seen eating and hoarding bizarre limited edition flavors of Syori Syori Kun ice cream. Typically, even in the rare piece of official art drawn for the show, he has one stuffed in his mouth.

** Komasan is ''very'' fond of Ice cream (called Soft-cream in the original japanese); Nate and co. even met him in Mog-Mog Burger when the bot's cone was licked by him.

*** Cup ramen appears to be a favorite for multiple characters, Jack, Yusei, Bruno, Crow and Jaeger (Lazar) are all shown to adore the stuff.

*** That would also explain why Jack, Yusei and Crow like ramen so much, considering they are from the slum Satellite.

* ''Anime/{{Pokemon}}'':

** In ''Anime/DigimonUniverseApplimonsters'', Gatchmon's favorite is Gatch Monaka (which are wafer bars filled with azuki bean paste); Haru Shinkai likes burgers; Rei Katsura's are energy gels; and Yuujin Oozora's is pasta.

** Chaozu's favorite food is tenshindon (crab meat omelette on rice). Tenshinhan's favorite food is Jiaozi. Consider the alternate spellings and pronunciations for those foods.
