* VeryLooselyBasedOnATrueStory: Annie and Frank were real life show shooters and they got married but much of this story is fabricated. Most noticeably, [[spoiler:Anne giving up her career at the end by throwing the competition with Frank]] is exactly the opposite of how real life went, [[spoiler:where ''Frank'' gave up his career to promote ''Annie's'']]. The 1999 revival adjusts this [[spoiler:by having Frank throw the competition as well so they tie]].
